I have just got back to Southampton. It is 5:30 in the morning. I will not be up at 2 to the breakfast debate. If somebody else could do it I would really appreciate it many thanks
Good to see you back at Anfield. You had chances last night I was nervous and thought you'd get one. Hopefully we'll see you again soon.
He reminds me of Andy White, all speed with nothing on the end. Looking ahead to improving the team.... Yesterday showed me that we definitely need a better keeper, neither Green or Silvestre for next season, Silvestre kicking was also poor and Sacko needs replacing. It also showed we have good players in Roofe and Doukara, Philips and Vieria are not quite there but improving, we are not a million miles away from where we need to be.
I doubt it Eire. Take a look at Ayling and his involvement in the goal. Roofe very unlucky not to score, loved the curler but needed another inch or two of curl on it. Had that shot gone in it would've been a whole different game. Sacko, I can't understand his Euro price tag, definitely needs to put some work into his shots. Duke getting better and better with every game it seems. He always had it in him, but something seemed to have sent him off the boil for a while, now he's back; I suspect he's going to play a big part between now and end of season. Bartley seems lost without Jansson, and that's a worry. Lads played well, but that last third, which many have spoken about came back to haunt us. I disagree with the stats, Leeds matched it and kept Liverpool out for 76 minutes. Shots, both teams had 13 shots (do we make that many in a league game) and both had 4 shots on target, Liverpool took 2 of those shots and scored twice, we didn't. I still think Monk is suspect with his subbing, could've been better. Would've been great to make the semis, oh well, we'll have to do same again and go further in FA cup.
Odd as a self proclaimed goalkeeper he's not offered his view on silvestri. As it happens I think it was a good ball in, split our defence and a good finish. If I'm critical at all, I thought that the baseline was keepers shouldn't be beaten on their near post.
When Radriazzani becomes the owner of LUFC I'll change my avatar, does that answer your question to your satisfaction.......
I agree, was a good ball in, but I was replying to Eires comment that Green would've had it covered. Phil Hay, for what he's worth to some fans stated that both Ayling and Silvestri should take a look at it and work out how they could've dealt with it better. From what I saw, Ayling was the wrong side of the goal scorer, which, imo allowed the forward to nip past Ayling and score, so based on arguments/opinions, I'd say it was 6 of 1 and half a dozen of the other, lack of communication maybe?.....however, in the first instance, Ayling should've had it covered, he was the one who allowed his man to get away from him and score. I agree, keepers shouldn't be beaten while on their nearest post, neither should they fumble the ball while being 1 foot away from their goal line either.......
