if hamilton sees this as his auto 4th title then yeah... i could see hamilton being given his choice of everything now plus wehrlein coming in. If mercedes think they still have no 1 car they might well do this and look again mid year for options.

In short hamilton could wlak next years championship if he's got no 1 car. and if he has just a competitive car with red bull... well.... having a no 1 driver may be needed anyway for mercedes.

OR mercedes could swap hamilton for vettel to get rid of the annoyance. god knows..

Wasn't expecting that. Think it's time for Button to retire too tbh. Go host Top Gear. Guess Rosburg figures no chance of winning again. Hamilton won't have rotten luck to his good luck next season.

I was responding to the comment he should not retire and join Mercedes.

one thought is that rosberg has retired to save hamilton's drive.

The guy might just be that generous that he was thinking meh i'm not that pushed right now but could see hamiton being lined up by herr wolff's firing squad.

I note that the hamilton pic of them as young lads being buds and all that and being all congratulations looked false and now it makes snese. Hamilton knew what was coming...

Hamilton is a hired gun employed to capitalise on Mercedes' current domination of the sport. Once they realised how good they could be they needed a proper driver. But he's not part of the family whatever they say in statements and is and always will be an outsider there, despite his huge success. He is one of, perhaps the best driver on the grid and things were aligned right for him to get the drive, it could've also been Alonso, Vettel (German and preferable but not available at the time) but it didn't work out that way for them

Rosberg is part of Merc the family. He's German and been there from the beginning with them. Clearly that team is about German dominance in the sport given the brand's obvious nationality but also their hiring two German drivers originally.

If McLaren or Williams could be competitive again and win races, I'd like to see Hamilton go there.<ok>

I'd like nothing more than Williams being the top dog again... Doubt it will ever happen though.

Brit in a British team so natural fit but that likely won't happen before Hamilton retires. Perhaps there's a small chance in 4-5 years when he may still be around but getting on a bit, that's at least how long it would take both those teams in terms of development to get to the front again if they start to get serious about it, Williams don't seem to have the ambition to really be No. 1 currently and McLaren have still got a lot to work out on and off track

Question:. Is anyone else tempted, when in a large group of people to say loudly. "OK Google, midget porn" to see how many people have Google now installed?

    Or is it just me?

I might have to give a demonstration infront of a few hundred people next year at a trade event. I wonder how risqué I could be if I tried to trigger everyone's Google now.
