Aren't both him and Ocon under contract next year to other teams. I wonder if Mercedes have release clauses. Jenson back for one more year
Surely it'll be Wehrlein? I don't think this is a knee-jerk decision from Rosberg, and that Mercedes have known it was a possibility for a while. Perhaps why Wehrlein didn't get the Force India seat?
Well...... wow. Fair enough I suppose, he has a wife and baby and now a wdc. Why take the risk, you commit or you don't. I'm glad he has the mindset to know what he wants. Good luck for the future Nico
It kinda shows that he doesn't have the desire to be a great that he doesn't want to come back and get more, this is something that has been levelled at him for the last few years. Now he has it, he's happy. Fair play to him though. Maybe if he had 2 WDC's it would make the Rosberg Family Christmas dinner conversations a but awkward!
Ive actually gained respect for him. he's achieved his dream and is off do other things. fair play. hope Merc sign a strong teammate for Lewis, but everyone is already taken. It'll probably be Pascal wehrlein.
I just can't get how you would work so hard to get to the top and then walk away from it. I can only imagine it's family.
Wasn't that about lewis quitting not Nico. I don't know if Rosberg told Mercedes he was going to quit if he won. Big moment for Pascal anyway. Ocon must be devastated that he got the force India. The heat yearns for Lewis vs Fernando though. Wouldn't that be a battle. Would be awkward at Mclaren, they'd have to promote their reserve driver who they had a big goodbye ceremony for 5 days ago.
I can't see Button having the desire to do another full season. He's made his peace with leaving F1. Some late silly-season manoeuvring would be fun though if Alonso moves. Mclaren would want experience alongside Vandoorne.
