I nearly went there also, but didn't. That was the school I was allocated but I got packed off elsewhere in the end.
I'm actually off Chants. Avenue is nearest boozer, I do occasionally pop in there. Nice and quiet where we are, been down there nearly 4 years where we are now, I like it. Walking distance to Prinny Ave / Newland as well, which is handy for when one desires a beer of better quality than is generally available in the Avenue.

A bit (well, a lot) off-topic but anyone know why Hessle Golf Club is out Raywell/Eppleworth way, and nowhere near Hessle? Only spotted this yesterday.
The N side approach to the Humber Bridge was built where the old Hessle GC used to be. Hence the move.
A few of my pals used to earn a fair bit by caddying at Hessle. I think there are some remnants of the course near the roundabout at the end of Ferriby road.
