Id go with below. I think Blind is a decent DM, wasted at CB. Pogba needs a free role almost similar to Toure at City. Miki Ryan played wide right for Dortmund and was brilliant there and Martial offers good pace. Reluctant to leave Mata out as actually think he's one of better players but him at 10 with Ibra ahead is a slow middle. If you have Martial CF then prob put Mata behind him to play between the lines and make those through passes.

Klopp is about more than just winning this trophy. He likes to develop players. Long term beats sort term.

Personally, If go for the trophy win and player more forest team players but Klopp won't do it. Klopp will stick with the second string. He did it last season and he did it against Spurs.

Shows the character of your younger players as well.

We have failed in the past not trusting the younger players, and they end up with the odd game here and there and don't develop properly and we end up selling them.

We have a great manager, he needs to know the squad as to what we need to buy or not.

We got to 2 cup finals last season, and as a result didn't concentrate on top 4 and we ended up with nothing.

Look at the bigger picture. want us back in the CL and hopefully might have a few gems in youth who can help us on our journey.

 

The teams for the semi and the final were more or less the first 11.

 

We had a bigger squad last season.

Now we have a better first team with promising backup, but a trimmed squad.

Can't see him putting his eggs all in one basket when we are 2nd in league with a small group of players.

We already have injuries and little niggles to key players and players off to acon.

Worth the risk for a semi? or trust in the players who have got us this far?

8 of the 11 starters were what would be considered first 11 at the time. And I did say more or less first 11.
Certainly no second string.

Agree. There is optimism and blind optimism. Anything other than our very strongest team will be just daft and praying to the gods that the ball will run for us. Of course every young player will understand that we have to play our best players against a good team. What would we want to keep our best players if not for this? The mancs (as we think it will be) will be putting their best team. Do we really want to going to Wembley like lambs to the slaughter?

 

Not being funny but you let the kids get you there last season then ditched them for the final, look how that turned out.
