Nice tribute by EA Sports: http://metro.co.uk/2016/11/30/fifa-...se-by-giving-out-free-kits-and-badge-6291835/ ...although with this being EA, I doubt a penny will be headed Chapecoense's way.
Has anyone ever seen this happen before? Karius giving away a corner from his own goalkick in the Liverpool v Sunderland game. I suspect that we'll see more, er... unique situations as this obsession with playing out from the back continues. Bizarre.
Mahrez says that seeing us throw away the title was the funniest part of last season. I say looking at the current league table is far more amusing...
I see the Goons could not risk any senior players in the League Cup, with their big cup final against the Spanners at the weekend. I'm sure we will be told their line-up was the "team of the future" , though one of their most famous supporters appears to disagree ...
I'm sure some of the clubs could afford to loan/give some players to help out their cause *cough*chelsea*cough*
Santi Cazorla will be out for at least 3 months due to his ankle injury - needs surgery apparently. He sets the tempo of the game for them and will be a massive loss. They'll still be fine bullying the little teams but will struggle in the tighter games without him. This plus Coutinho out for 2 months gives us a great opportunity to make up for lost ground. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38173927
This may explain the rumours that they're not looking to extend his contract, which expires at the end of the season. If he's having injury issues, then it might be better to move on and bring in someone younger. He's 32 in 12 days, which isn't that old, but it's bloody ancient in Wenger Years.
A nice touch. Rumours suggest that Ronaldinho and Riquelme are considering coming out of retirement to play for Chapecoense.
Wouldn't mind us picking him up on a free, even if he is a gooner. Just the type of player we're currently missing and the likes of Alli and Winks could learn a lot from him. But he is a gooner...
