I will explain why I handled it the way I did. You might understand it, even if you don't agree with it. I felt that HIAG was wumming and using a delicate subject to do it with. Id he hadn't been hiding behind the subject, then I would have probably ignored him completely. I didn't want to get loads of complaints and have to deal with **** loads of stuff behind the scenes, so I thought that if I warned him in public (partly because of his track record as well) then others might see the warning and also take heed. The fact that he then basically told me to **** off was his choice and the reason why he has been giving a cooling off ban. Hope this clears things up. ps. For your information I did not ban him from the PL board. It was far less hassle to ban him from the whole site. I don't do things by half
To be honest mate, the PL board doesn't have any moderation for a reason (other than HIAG's ban but that is funny) so the way I see it is that it's a place for the mods to come and **** about too if they want. Personally I like it that way, this place generally moderates itself and there a rarely any issues other than one or two people having the odd hissy fit. I don't want anything like the old BBC site and I think some people mistake this place for being a substitute. I know the Spurs board mods like to run the rule over your board like the BBC site used to do, but that's their choice. At the end of the day, we're all footie fans first on this site, even the mods. I've had people whinge at me saying 'Your a mod, you should know better' but do you know what, **** them. The actual moderation I have to do on the Arsenal board is minimal, and when I have had to do it, I'm 100% confident that I've done all I can to do it in the right way. This place though is somewhere to have a laugh without that bollocks. And to be fair to the supermods, they've only turned up here because people have been tagging them and reporting HIAG's thread (which I think was fair enough to be honest)
GC doesn't offend me. Please feel free to point out where I've said it offends me. I was not aware of their 'speshul' status here, and wondered why they seemed to be given license to post things that, seemingly, others can't.
Thanks for a sensible reply. I disagree somewhat with the way you handled it. But respect the fact that you've come back to explain it all from your point of view.
Anyway, can you ****s please stop derailing this thread and get back on topic about : (1) Spurs being a joke club (2) Taking the piss out of HIAG when his ban is up
