I'm always amazed by peoples behaviour at the one in Beverley outsideTescos. Everyone obediently waits when it shows red, even when no car is in site. I use 2 to 3 times a week as I park in the supermarket car park to visit County Hall. I'm generally late so have to battle through the mass of people dutifully waiting for the green light and receive lots of tuts as I dare to cross on a red light.
Wouldn't get that obedience in Hull.

That's Fat Bloke Waving With Jacket Askance. It's part of a sequence of art installation pieces which explore the subconscious metaphysical cognition which lies behind the prehensile, existential ineluctability of the Fat Bloke Waving sub-genre.

The pieces are on tour as part of an affiliated cultural art link, sponsored by a conglomerate of post-industrial international magnates. Hull is very lucky to have secured one of the key pieces.

Fat Bloke Waving will, without doubt, win next year's Turner. Fact.

It isn't hard to impress the pretentious twats who think anything is a valid work of art.

Base layer up Chazz. It's mighty chilly outside.

Oh and if you're gonna relieve Askew you might wanna wear a decent pair of gloves.

HCC have just announced SMG Europe as the preferred bidder to operate the new Hull Venue.

Good move, the UK venues they already operate include include First Direct Arena (Leeds), Manchester Arena, Metro Arena (Newcastle). Oddessy Arena (Belfast), Barbican (York), Bridgewater Hall (Manchester) and Baths Hall (Scunny).

    Surprisingly good appointment.

You put in brackets after each where they are, apart from one. Where is this Manchester Arena then eh??

Update: This morning I saw them treating some of the newly laid paving (which looked like that in the pictures on this thread) with some brown substance. I don't know if this serves some kind of functional purpose, but aesthetically all it does it make it look old and **** instantly.
