Well we were being kind. Don't come back bleating when we take them and the trip to Wembley ... don't say we didn't try and be fair <laugh>

It's going to be a good couple of games we're certainly going to go at you and you have been the best at stopping us so far this season as there was always a threat from you where others have just shut shop and hoped for something.

I don't see Sturridge moving in Jan though unless Klopp has someone ready to replace him.

Just been reading some of match reports from last night. Came as such a shock that Arsenal made 10 changes [I'm being sarcastic - I did know, it's just that the media shouted it from the rooftops at every opportunity] and were below-par and under-strength. Personally, I thought Arsenal were Arsenal, just with a few less teeth to bite with. Typically, their default posture was to try to walk the ball into the net, and when that didn't work they began to shoot from further and further out. They did have 63% possession.

Typically, for this season under Puel, Saints rotated the squad and played several non-first namers. Injuries to certain players and lack of form to others have forced Claude's hand a bit, I think. Not that you'd have noticed if you'd just read the headlines.

I've heard that Ali Dia has a younger brother*. Maybe Liverpool would exchange Sturridge plus a bit of cash for him.

If that doesn't work maybe George Weah has another cousin*

    * One for the older fans amongst us :emoticon-0142-happy

Last night Adam Blackmore referred to Wenger's coat as a 'cut-off sleeping bag', which made I laugh. <laugh>

Jeez, watch the last bit of that before it loops. He's Cruyff turning and making it look like nothing, he does it so fast. I saw that moment last night and completely missed the finer points of the skill.

Don't you just love players who aren't scared to take opposition players on. Boufal appears fearless. More please.

I've re-watched it so many times, trying to just watch his feet and I still have no idea how he does it so effortlessly. His awareness of the players around him is so good.

And thereafter, a great release from Cuco & if Boufal hadn't slipped, he would have been in on goal!

Just noticed another thing about that turn. He skips as he does it, getting the left leg out of the way while he bangs his right foot into the ball so that it squashes and skips, hence the little bounce. Also, it's one thing to do this stuff as a matter of showing off as a display, and another to do it in anger, unplanned during the moment. This is the sort of football that I'll watch 90 minutes for to grab 10 seconds that makes my jaw drop. I just love great skill within a match context.

Boufal does slip and lose his footing a lot, I suppose it's to do with the nature of his play, always changing direction to fool opponents. I noticed it in his YouTube videos over the summer

Well as long as the slip and fall results in a free-kick I'll be happy. Otherwise he may have to experiment with his studs.

Well worth the late one hey? Hope you enjoyed your impractical pre-match grub and the game itself.

Thanks for the ticket - worked out well. The old man was delighted. This is vindication for his fair weather supporting (these days) which will probably continue.

    See you for the semis.

    Well that was just fan-bloody-tastic!!

Still buzzing now... knackered though after only 5/6 hours sleep.

Clasie wasn't sure how to celebrate <laugh>

Pundits very complimentary as well which was nice.

Reckon I'll be watching that again in the morning :D

It's easy. Have you ever danced to Wigfield's "Saturday Night?" Just imagine that with a ball at your feet :)
