As a cyber lawyer you should know that allegations are not fact until proven. But given your penchant for posting graphic cartoons that imitate child sex you'd be best served by saying nothing.

To clear a a few things up.
GC has it's own mods that look after that board.
HIAG was warned not to wum hiding behind the child sex abuse stories.
He told me to go ahead and ban him, so I did.

It's nothing to do with me having big bollox and coming on here.
There was a report and I dealt with it as I saw fit.
He will be back very shortly anyway. It was a cooling off period.

Anything else you want to know then just pm me.

Anything else you don't want to know, then don't say or ask anything.

    It really is quite simple.

    Have a good day all.

It was a fair call mate you warned him first but using a sensitive subject to wum is sadly what he's all about. Third rate wum at best.

I don't disagree with your sentiments - I like it that this board is un-moderated (lightly moderated) - but what you have to keep in mind is the viability / vulnerability of the site as a whole.

At one point Google and, I suspect, other search engines, had the site denoted as 'not recommended' which made it almost impossible to access (especially from work computers - due to 'firewall' issues). Whilst I can't remember all the detail, my recollection is that Mick, the site owner, came to 'an agreement' with the search engines etc that we would clean up the site - rather 'specialist' sub-boards like one on the Newcastle board and also one on GC had their content 'sanitised' - this convinced the search engines etc to take us off their 'stop' list. I recall that Mick managed to agree a certain content leniency concession for the main GC board (not absolute I might add) - and Jip is there to ensure it doesn't go beyond the parameters agreed.

What the Supermods have to guard against is any articles / posts that might, potentially, bring legal action against the site. HIAG, as a lawyer, (<whistle>) should have been more than aware that starting a thread with a title like the one he attempted might, potentially, create such a problem. The Supermod had no choice really other than to delete / close the thread. HIAG throwing a tantrum about him doing that, rather than thinking about issues beyond his fragile ego, is rather typical of him, in fairness.

    Ouch! ... <laugh>

... bit harsh Tobes ... I'm sure Saints would have had nothing to do with this nonsense ... he'll no doubt have been glued to the Southampton board and the matchday thread against the Goons ... 680 plus posts on there ....

Get all that and agree( to be honest I didn't read it)

But don't you think to use a footballing analogy. When the ref is a homer, it gets on y' tits?

You can be honest Fosse, the FA won't take your whistle away and demote you to the Championship, don't worry bruh <rofl>

I am an advocate of free speech and I enjoy a good wum; even those aimed at my team (perhaps more so tbh, because that then gives me carte blanche poetic licence for a retort <laugh> )

Known Resurgam (as a poster) for a long time prior to us being a Prem team ... his isn't one currently - always been very much his own man and I wasn't surprised to see that he had been recruited to the Supermod ranks tbh ... also won't take any **** ... which is fair enough ... HIAG got a warning to desist - couldn't take it - carried on - got merked - only himself to blame.

    The end <laugh>

I can find disagree with most of that, Fosse. But Sky has a point, banning the guy is a bit like taking a sledgehammer to a nut.

In my view, all that was necessary was to remove the thread, and send the guy a P.M. Explaining why and warning him about any repeats of that kind of post.

There was no need to castigate the guy in public, and then ban him. It should have been handled with a bit more subtlety.

Funny that when I popped onto their match thread to congratulate them after their win, Saintsfan08 was nowhere to be seen ....

To be fair, Resurgam had already done that. Then HIAG started it up again on another thread, so he gave him fair warning to knock it off, but simpleton decided to throw his toys out of the pram instead.

Ok, mate. I didn't know that. To me, it just looked like the guy had been jumped on in a public thread and then banned.

If he'd already been warned via PM, then fair enough.

Got no problem with the man or his decision..I questioned the rule. If something is offensive, then it is offensive anywhere on Not606. If it grinds a gear with a mod, it would grind it anywhere(GC). Regardless of whether the board in question has a mod or not. Just means the mod isn't doing his job right.

My morals don't depend on what department I'm talking to. They are what they are and if I have the power to stop them I would. Regardless of whether each department has got its own floor manager or not, **** that, I'm the boss of the whole store..I rule? So long as I'm upright in my decision.

    You get me fam?
