If we put Clasie on Reed's shouders underneath a long trench coat, we can get away with 12 players. Josh Sims hidden in Virgil's hair and that's 13.
Not anymore. It was the barclays premier league but not this season. Currently no named sponsor. http://uk.businessinsider.com/premier-league-dropping-headline-sponsorship-deal-with-barclays-2016-4
I can just sense the build up of moaning because "I" want to see us win a trophy... we all do, but let's keep our blankets close and let the manager do what he wants to do. He is doing this for the team and the club, not for what "we" want. *stomps feet*
I think it was decided that the Premiership is so lucrative now that it doesn't need a sponsor anymore. (There a slight chance I just imagined that, but I seem to recall something along those lines).
The JPT was a major trophy for us because we were in League 1 at the time. None of those bastard fancy dan EPL academy teams in it.
10/10 would take that. Would also take Cuco to not make the trip. A back-passer we could do without today imo.
Arsene will most certainly field a weakened team, without Ozil, Sanchez, Walcott and Giroud, among others. At full strength, we would be favourites against that team, but Puel will also rotate a lot and there will be no Tadić or Austin, which are our equivalent of Ozil and Sanchez. Still, we should be able to put together a decent lineup, similar to those we put in Europa league encounters. I'm slightly worried by the lack of goals in our side though, at the moment. We only scored 7 goals in our last 8 matches, which is a paltry return. I think the best we can hope for is a combative display like against Everton, and we are in the game as long as we don't concede, which at the moment seems a lot easier for us than score.
All good apart from, without the "we", there's not much point in having a professional football club. Know what you mean though.
Who's moaning? I'm certainly not. It's not about 'moaning'. And of course we let him do what he thinks best as that is his job, and he's earnt that trust so far as his rotation has been spot on. But that doesn't mean we can't criticise if we think makes the wrong decision. No one is (or should be) immune from it. I'm not whinging at Puel, as I mention above he's done a great job of rotating so far... I'm just making the point that so far even with rotation the 'stronger' teams have undoubtedly played in the league upto this point. Which is fine (again, it's served us well so far), I just think now we're at a point - QF and 3 games from Wembley & a straight shootout for EL qualification - that we need to switch that round and re assess our priorities. Particuarly as we're unlikely to be anywhere other than midtable this year. Nothing more, nothing less.
Oh and on your point that Claude serves the team/club rather than fans. Playing devils advocate... don't the manager, team and club all serve the supporters too?
I'm hoping boufal to start. My team; Forster Cedric Yoshi vvd McQueen ----romeu ---- Davis Redmond jwp boufal long assuming hojogylberg is injured
