Horrendous actions he had to endure. No child should ever be forced to go through that. Sickening.

Back in the good ole days ey, 'when men were real men'.

Poor bloke, nobody should have to live with those sorts of memories, but they don't go away. Good on him for speaking about it, it'll possibly go a long way to helping him feel better about it and move on somewhat.

Credit for what he's coming out with. Hope the fa honor this courage and the courage of others coming forward by opening an inquiry that's clearly needed. Not holding my breath though. Poor man.

More coming out from this area now, according to SSN.

There'll be a big case to answer, regardless of what some very odd folk think, this has never been acceptable and anybody still alive who is guilty of abusing kids at any point in their lives should be dragged from whatever hole they're hiding in and shoved in the nearest prison for the rest of their days.

Brave. Very brave. I hope he gets some closure from this and his personal life gets a lot better. Poor ****er, it's bloody awful.

I hope the sick ****(s) who did it are still alive and they're ****ting themselves. Jail is too good for them.

I'm sure this is just the tip of the iceberg.

These guys are so brave to make these public statements.

Unfortunately I think this story is only going to get a whole lot bigger. God I hope not though!

It's not enough mate. They should be castrated and banged away in solitary confinement for the rest of their lives, oh and battered every day and fed on swill.

Spreading to NUFC now. Never even heard of this George Ormond, who worked in their youth system. He'd already got 6 years, according to the Guardian, but now new evidence of abuse.

What a nasty can of worms this is turning out to be.

I could easily see this happening in all situations where children involved - *****'s were always around - thankfully safeguarding and police checks are now carried out for those working with vulnerable people (kids included here)

A single bullet would be too quick and painless for the perverted bastards mate, i'd rather they suffered a slow and excruciatingly painful death.

Disgraceful what's gone on mind - and Eric Bristow's comments are utterly disgusting too - the bloke is a dickhead

It was disgraceful. The guy is a troglodyte!

But the overreaction of Sky in sacking him immediately is just over the top to me.

No one's allowed an opinion in these pc days, no matter how offensive or ignorant they may be.

There's so many from that generation of Brit celeb male, who just seem to have no filter. It certainly doesn't offend me but they don't seem to be able to grasp the 'time and a place' concept. There should be some sort of artificial 'anti-****-up' valve they can get fitted surgically to stop them ending their 'careers' prematurely.

Didn't they do something similar with Rodney Marsh? Soccer Saturday they were talking about Newcastle just after the Asian earthquakes and Tsunami and he made a faux pas calling them the Tsunami instead of the Toon Army. Went to advery and he'd been replaced when they came back.

He was in the jungle wasn't he, with Ant and Dec after that, and proved that he was a complete dickhead.
