Lee's condition was that £15m of the price was deferred and only payable if Premier League status was retained.
They accepted the Hernandez bid remember. He turned them down because he wanted megabucks. The Mason thing stands, but there's really no way of looking at our transfer policy this summer that makes sense. Why would you be so awkward about spending for so long and then suddenly splash a bit on the last day. It was obviously too little too late, but still will have been a big financial hit for the club. An attempt at damage limitation for their reputation perhaps? That's very much the image Assem likes to have, but it's selective. Sure, he tries to be a nasty bastard wherever possible (see Airco etc) but he frequently bites off more than he can chew and has to pay up. Barmby had to be paid off remember, because there was no way they could get him on a disciplinary as they'd hoped, since he'd actually done **** all wrong. I know of other staff at City who they've tried to get rid of in a really shabby way, including one heavily pregnant woman, and after going through the tribunals or whatever they had to pay up again, because you can't just discard people like they want to. They can't understand these laws and stuff because they really do believe they can do whatever they want with "their" business. It's not just football authorities they have this problem with. I don't believe for a second that they'll come out of this well financially.
As no one from the club is given any interviews to update us what is happening maybe we can have our own game of Where's Wally sorry ehab
I think Allams misunderstand how difficult it is to get back in this league. They where very lucky last season they had Bruce. I think they believe if they go down they will come straight back up. But the way we are going under them we have more chance of playing in League 1.
This is a serious WTF moment - he doesn't even go to the bloody matches, what sane reason could he have for this kind of demand? Oh right, there isn't one...
Presumably he allows rich and equally ****ish chums to use it so he can look like the big man. Or he just likes the idea he has a private suite. Or he's just an enormous bellend.
Barmby didnt have to be paid off remember? He was going to tell all. Not like Nick to take the money is it... Do you have much experience with employers? Sounds like every businessman/company I know or have worked for.
I've posted before that I was sat near Ehab at Huddersfield away last season. What I didn't post at the time is that the other one of my two corporate jollies was Bristol at home where Ehab was certainly on site and came through the hospitality area not long before kick-off. Not being in his seat doesn't mean he isn't there...
You must mean like we played last night against the team currently romping away with the Championship ? And beat them with ten men and a handful of kids. How were we lucky last season ? We must have had 112 years of bad luck before then because it was only the third time we'd been 'lucky'. Look at Hull City over the last few years.
