I love war films and fancy watching one tonight to cheer myself up abit. Can anybody recommed a really good one please. Ive seen Saving private ryan before anybody suggests it.
I really like The Thin Red Line but I wouldn't say it's one to cheer you up. Very good underrated film that I reckon. Inglorious Basterds is fun if you haven't seen it, I've got it on the planner to watch soon.
Where Eagles dare, a bit aged now but with Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood you are getting a quality film. One of my favourites for the action and scenery, coupled with the fact that an old mate Derren Nesbitt plays the bad man..
Hurt Locker is also class. I'm just assuming you've seen all the classics. Also a new film, War Dogs. Not about war, really it's about a pair of arms dealers based on a true story, funny and incredible in parts.
Brought up my Granda, Joe. I've got a stack of war films on DVD. He also introduced me to films like Zulu and The Green Berets. I miss that bloke a lot. Good to see you about, mate.
Did you ever find out what the Jordash family had underneath them patio flags? Just about to watch Des Lynam present this week's goals... then you'd get a little bit of a fuzzy screen then "Let's hear about these three gorgeous girls from Our Graham"... FFS!!
Likewise mate and great to see you again.. Zulu is one of my all time favourite Christmas films but more so that I was a massive fan as a kid of Stanley Baker and James Booth.. You had Caine in there too and Jack Hawkins.. Brilliant film..
Jordashe's had their shed buried down there mate.. Typical scousers, never happy and bury anything.. I wouldn't care Tel, it was a cool shed, mid oak creosote too.....aaaaargh getting hard here..
