Presumably it kept disappearing, then reappearing again, as the goals went in. Some people must have had tired arms by the end of the game. <laugh>

Agree. For me, Fer is a AM only.

If he is to play I'd rather see this

    Cork------Gylfi-----Leon/Fulton
    Barrow----Fer-----Montero

Fer is a complete enigma to me.

    As a midfielder imo Fer
Is not skilful enough to be an effective AM,
Is not dogged or nimble enough to be an effective CM,
Is not quick enough to be an effective box-to-box midfielder,
Is not wary, alert or agile enough to be an effective DM

I see a player who regularly loses focus during games, who looks lethargic and disinterested in what's going on around him. In defence, to me he is a liability, especially when defending opposition set pieces. So what the hell can he do? Not a lot it would seem, but maybe I shouldn't believe everything I think I see.

In reality Fer, this crap midfielder I see, is our top scorer, not only that but the goals he's scored have been absolutely vital ones and have helped earn the club 7 points out of the 9 it currently has.

    vs Burnely - scored 1 goal (3pts)

    vs Chelsea - scored 1 goal (1pt)

    vs Palace - scored 2 goals (3pts)

Maybe its me that's blind and its me that's missing the point of Fer because regardless of how I think, in reality he's been our most important player so far this season, certainly the most effective in front of goal.

I've slagged him off all season and all season he's made me look like a fool. After all I've said about him Fer IS our top scorer, he HAS scored six goals and HAS earned our team 7points so he IS our biggest asset at this time.

Fer is still an enigma to me because I can't work out how the crap player I see can be so good for us. Maybe I should stop trying to pigeon hole him into being this type of midfielder or that type, Fer is what he is, he's a player who can sniff out chances and score goals and we'd be dead and buried without him. I should stop whinging bout him and be grateful for that. Thanks Leroy <ok>

And TutaKarmamoon to you too Vetchy dear!!!, I didn't need to be a 'fly on the wall', the numpty tweeted and made enough statements in the media, his quotes are still there, I'm sure if you are really interested in defending the numpty you can dig them up, I always wondered why someone of Laudrup's 'impeccable character' was hanging around with this grease ball....................<laugh>

Now where exactly did I say I was "defending " him ? You have a habit of making things up to suit your stance. Need to do better if you want to be taken seriously.

Nobody, including YOU, can possibly know what went on at the time. There was a great deal of speculation, and one plus one equals any number you choose to make it, etc.
Now THAT is what I was alluding to. Oh, and that YOU and several others took it upon yourselves to drag Laudrup's name through the mud, just because you could, with no fear of recriminations. I do so admire keyboard warriors.

You got one thing right though, he does have an "impeccable character". <ok>

<laugh>.....'impeccable character' notice the brackets?, you can always tell the character of someone by the company they keep, and the grease ball Tutumlu was by all accounts dictating transfer policy, not to mention wanting to sell Ash, Tutumlu is said to have declared his intention to sell Ashley Williams. Huw Jenkins and the Swansea board claimed that Tutumlu attempted to scupper deals the club had arranged via other agents in Europe, There is a suspicion among the Swansea board that Laudrup is trying to engineer a way out, never! surely not this 'impeccable man'....................<laugh>

‘If Huw Jenkins wants to say things about me, he should show his balls and do it face to face, in front of television cameras.’ - Tut the Grease ball

Regarding 'St Michael" I can only say this:

He is an annoying self absorbed personality who used Swansea to put him in the shop window to push his, in reality, very limited credentials. He had the audacity to say players wanted to come and play for him but not for Swansea. He will not do well in management because he is not good enough tactically or in his man management skills. Time has proved this statement true.................<cheers>

A South Wales Evening Post report suggested Tutumlu has tried to recruit players, including the St Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Wigan's forward Arouna Koné, "behind the club's back".

A report in the French newspaper L'Equipe on Wednesday suggested that Laudrup has become a target for Paris St-Germain, who are searching for a replacement for Carlo Ancelotti, who is set to depart the club. L'Equipe suggest contact has been made between the French club and Laudrup's representatives, Tut the grease ball.

By the way I didn't bring this subject up, 'Uncle Fester' did!.....................<laugh>

Fer me , Fer has lots of stamina and oodles of talent but it only rears it's head when he is attacking .
When there is a possibility of an impending goal Fer runs like the wind . If he has to backtrack on defence he loses heart ... it's a flaw ....easily fixed by keeping him ONLY attacking . I've seen this scenario many times in athletes , different chemicals are released depending on attack and defence His aerial prowess has been a massive shot in the arm and his passing % is as good as anyone . And he reads plays well on attack also , knows where to be and doesn't miss opportunities when they arise .
4.5 million folks , 6 goals , two MOTM's and a team of the week is no fluke as he has come up big for both Norwich and QPR during their unsuccessful relegation battles also .

    And so it goes on!...................<laugh>

Alan Tate claimed Michael Laudrup stripped him of the Swansea captaincy with no explanation

Tate captained Swansea at the start of the 2011-12 season, but was aggrieved a year later when Laudrup, in his first season at the club, opted to give the armband to Ashley Williams. Tate, who admitted he did not have a good relationship with Laudrup, said last week: ‘It was before the Everton game (in September 2012). I didn’t know that I wasn’t going to be captain. He took the captaincy off me but didn’t tell me, and things went from there really.

‘I’ve been a Swansea player for 12 years, but sometimes a new manager comes in and you don’t get on with him.’ Laudrup’s representative, Bayram Tutumlu, has responded by saying: ‘Tate should keep his mouth shut'. what a nice grease ball you have Sir Michael..................<laugh>

I think at that point Phil Laudrup wanted a captain who was a regular player and Tate was never going to be a regular at that point .just my opinion though

Laudrup got the bullet after returning to Wales from France, having given his struggling team two days off, it has been reported.

According to the Daily Mirror, that was the straw that broke the camel's back. "Chairman Huw Jenkins’ patience snapped when the Swans' manager gave his players two days off this week, despite them losing a relegation scrap at West Ham on Saturday," it reports. There were other issues behind the decision, It reports that "the club's hierarchy believed the Dane was no longer capable of inspiring the struggling team, with questions also asked about the intensity of his training sessions and whether he retained the support of senior players".

The problems date back to the summer, says The Guardian. It reports that there were issues over the influence of Laudrup's agent, Bayram Tutumlu, who had a "growing influence on outgoing as well as incoming transfers". He was dispensed with but "although Laudrup and Jenkins vowed to put that episode behind them, it was clear that the two men were no longer singing from the same hymn sheet".

There were also concerns about Laudrup's wider approach, says Graham Clutton in the Daily Telegraph. "The very ethos that led the club from the edge of extinction to the top flight of English (and Welsh) football, had disappeared with the signing of too many overseas players and a manager who appeared to be in it more for himself, than the greater good of Swansea City Football Club," he writes.

Club captain Garry Monk, who was at the centre of a training ground row with Chico Flores recently, has been put in charge for the derby with Cardiff this weekend. The Telegraph calls him "a man who has been there from the start of the journey... [who] will hopefully galvanise the troops".......

Yes we all know that Roof, but I'm pointing out to 'Uncle Fester' the reply Laudrup's greasball agent gave, reagarding Tate, totally out of line and shows what type of scumbag agent Laudrup rubbed shoulders with..............<ok>

I'll never forget Dyer not being allowed to take a penalty kick for his hat trick and when Laudrup took Dyer off got him in a headlock in good spirit on the sideline ... I thought he was going to give Dyer nugy ( not sure how to spell it ) on the head ..lol

Never a truer word spoken. Fantastic player but as a manager he just dont have it and his ego is second to none that has been the reason of his poor non existence management skills.....Showed no respect to the club whatsoever and his only concern was playing in Europe.....The premiership he never cared about one iota and it showed.....
