Just a casual question but I wonder if we ever scored 4 goals in a half before , come to think of it I wonder how many Premier League teams have scored 4 in a half ....Suarez might have done it himself vs Norwich .. not sure though ....anyways , a half to remember as I'm sure fans with seats at Liberty could attest to it ..
Ah, I miss those heady days. Nice coincidence scoring 5 on P.L debut.. We also scored 5 against Leeds in the first game in the old First Division.

As long as he's in CM he must put the effort in to tackle and pressurise the opposition. It's Gylfis job to score and create, and yet he does both as well as tackle and close the opposition down. Until Fer does more off the ball, defensive work, our midfield will continue to get over run.
We spoke about this after the game. We thought of switching Fer & Gylfi. Fer won several heading duels, can shoot & knows where the goal is. Gylfi then plays in his normal position. The above only if Bob doesn't want to pick a striker.
Actually, you are spot on there Phil! However, and as I've posted previously, I do wonder if that was his role ie to play bad cop to Laudrup's good cop? We will have to wait for Huw's autobiography "From hero to zero for £13m" to find out his views.....
That season was my favourite and it has gone down hill since then and probably by Jenkins interfering, we played awesome football that season it was incredible. I was at that game and it was boiling and almost unbearable, but the goals made up for it. Unfortunately despite us scoring 5 we weren't top at the end of the day, I seem to remember I think Fulham beat Norwich by 6.
Hi Vetch - we don't "know" for certain. But the agent's "activities" were widely reported, plus he was effectively "banned" from dealings involving the Club. No smoke without fire? That said, given everything that had gone on, Huw's halo has definitely slipped, so perhaps things weren't as "black & white" as reported.
I remember Jenkins falling out with Laudrup's Agent, if that what he was. Sadly, Laudrup got caught up in it, and thereafter things went downhill. Several regular posters jumped on the bandwagon,not REALLY knowing what was taking place behind closed doors, and Laudrup became the target for their venom, when in all likelihood, he was an innocent bystander. Jenkins is now the target for their venom,so I think karma has struck yet again.
