This is the first time India have had their numbers seven, eight and nine make half-centuries in the same Test innings. It is only the seventh time overall.
Could have been worse....should have been better. Disappointed in the crowds....you'd expect better when England visit a cricket-loving country. Was similar in Bangladesh. Are they charging too much for the tickets?
England are losing for two reasons: the batting in the first innings, when they were 150 light, and also allowing the tail of India to wag. It was an indication that on these wickets, England don't ever look like they are going to blow a team away; they are waiting for mistakes. The gulf in class in these sides came through. ( From MV ) . As someone said , lets not forget that the last time India played here , we won 2 tests by an Innings ( Their point being we are playing the #1 team on their conditions ) . I still have hope for the last 2 .
To ensure they win the series, they might just prepare a couple of flat tracks for the 4th and 5th tests.
