Or it could be the worst set of matches to miss. He is the one player who has that moment of magic to thread the eye of the need ball or his standard cut in from the left and smash it into the top corner when a team parks the bus.

In a big match he would still be a miss but there would be a lot more space for the other players to play in

Maybe Sturridge will get a game now. Or perhaps we'll put Lucas in there. :)

Mane, Firmino, Sturridge and Origi also have the ability to produce moments of individual brilliance to win games.

Coutinho is a big loss and 6 weeks is actually better than expected.

We need an on form Origi, to get us goals during this period. It's going to be interesting seeing how we do but I'm confident we can cope.

Interesting to see if Woodburn gets a full game vs Leeds, he's in a similar mould to Coutinho, he likes to drop deep and drift wide left to find space. Of course he's very young but he might be an option from the bench if he can show how good he is vs Leeds.

Ojaria is the other one who has been pushing for a spot.

Studge once again can't be relied on to be fit. I think he'll go in the Summer.

We just have to man up and get on with it. we have a few players yet.

We will see if klopp pushes firmino wide for sturridge or if orgi will play wide now... and it will signal clearly sturridges future.

With him being injured it's Origi will get the chance and that's fair enough Studge simply can't stay fit and be relied upon so Origi it is.

I think Origi has a long term future with us Studge I don't think so.

Studge at left back, releasing Milner to be CF, which in turn means we'll play Origi in the DM role. And Moreno as a # 10, as we're short of those.

Mignolet winning in the air would be a first.

He cant use his hands in midfield so... he could be a world clas header off the ball...

though that nose suggests hes only tried the once as a kid then went in goal to hide but lets ignore that

In all seriousness, it looks like Gomez may be back soon. I'd seriously like to see him at LB for now (eventually partnering Matip at CB), releasing Milner to play with Hendo and Can in midfield, We could play any combo as the front three then. I'd also like to try Moreno in midfield before we give up on him too.

Indeed. In effect, he's getting a mid-winter break.. Hopefully he'll keep up his cardio (swimming?) and start kicking a ball after Christmas. In Fact, let him go home for a week or so to Brazil if he wants.

No thanks to Milner in midfield - there's a reason why he's playing left back and nowhere else. Keep him there until we find a better LB, and let Gomez develop into a CB.

Looking forward to him coming back.

Once Lallana is back in CM, we could potentially play Gini in a more attacking role. He scored the majority of his goals at Newcastle from wide left.

We have Ojo to come back and the youngster who played against Spurs.

Obviously they don't compare to Coutinho but it's not like we have no one to replace him.
