Lowly Wigan doing well 2-1 up at high flying Huddersfield, so apart from Rotherham, no one else really looks nailed on for relegation this season. If they hold on for the final 10 mins Wigan will be on 18 pts with Cardiff & Wigan with Blackburn & Burton on 19 pts. http://www.vipbox.nu/football/436156/1/huddersfield-town-vs-wigan-athletic-live-stream-online.html
And talking of Rotherham, Kenny Jackett has thrown in the towel after just five games, they must really be a basket-case this season... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38135036
Hull v Newcastle in ET, Hull with only10 men after a straight red @ 89', neither side able to score in regular time, then both manage to score within a minute - Diamé @ 98' for Newcastle, then Snodgrass @ 99' so 1-1 with penalty kicks looming. Snodgrass spurned a great opportunity to win it late in ET so now the penalty kick crap shoot (perhaps quite literally). Shelvey misses 1st Newcastle shot, great start for them, Snodgrass scores Dwight Gale misses the 2nd, Dawson scoes for Hull. 3rd Atsu scores, Huddlestone scores - just 4th - Gouffran misses another - all over - Rafa needs to practice his team on penalty kicks.
Forest & Newcastle goalless after half hour and Shelvey gets straight a red card.......lets see if Toon can play well with 10 men.....probably will. Forest miss a penalty......
Quelle surprise.....Newcastle take the lead..... Just to make it interesting Newcastle have had another player sent off......down to 9 and counting.... Probably still win!!!!
Forest equailise.....Bendtner.....forgotten he was with them.......and no sign of sick note Traore, that was a good deal to get him off our payroll and on to someone else's treatment table.....
Did we actually shift him for compensation, or did his contract just expire here? Just starting watching this match - would be interesting if Newcastle get any sort of result out of it playing with only 9 men.
Done in at the death - well at least Newcastle made a game display of it with only 9 men, 2 penalty saves by former Forest keeper Darlow and an og finale off former Forest player Lascelles, all a bit ironic, so we're not the only **** out of luck team.
My middle lad: The Curse of Loftus Road remarked that we should stay 15th as Newcastle will do Forest 3 defeats on ( 2 EPL 1 Cup) and Solly's team (he is on the bench again) could go top tomorrow if they beat Colin's Welsh Lambs Football is great The Curse of Loftus Road: He has never seen us win at home and gave up his ticket to watch Fulham away this season I feel a text coming on
Please release me, let me go.........a charity case where we put food on his table for 5 years. 13 Premier League appearances for Arsenal in six years and would you believe we took him in shortly after they got shellacked 8-2 at Old Trafford with him playing 90 mins at left back. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/14606020 He liked to get up as LWB, put a few crosses over if he could beat the opposing defender, but was always very fragile and reluctant to challenge in the LB role - Yun was a far better LWB in that regard, and I recall in his early games really getting stuck in with his challenges, totally unlike Traore. For me Trore's most notable appearance for us was this, and we somehow managed to screw up that famous match up too. "In the last game of the season against Manchester City and needing a win to keep the club in the Premier League at the expense of Bolton Wanderers, Traoré came on as a substitute for Djibril Cissé in the 59th minute, and 7 minutes later provided a cross from which Jamie Mackie scored a header, leading to a shock 2–1 lead. However, Manchester City managed to score twice in injury time, resulting in them winning the title. Queens Park Rangers retained their Premier League status after Bolton drew 2–2 with Stoke City, resulting in Bolton's relegation to the Championship." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armand_Traoré Armand Traore: Nottingham Forest sign former Arsenal and QPR defender please log in to view this image Armand Traore made 13 Premier League appearances for Arsenal in six years Nottingham Forest have signed ex-Queens Park Rangers and Arsenal defender Armand Traore on a three-year deal. The 26-year-old Senegalese, who joined QPR from Arsenal in 2011, was released from Loftus Road in June, having not made a QPR appearance since April 2015. Traore, who played 93 games for the Rs, helped them win the Championship play-off final against Derby in 2014. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/36915835
Eventful match at the Etihad, City should have been out of sight but Chelsea have mugged them with a couple of 2nd half goals. City just can't defend...
