Been on to them again. There was no notes on my account to get even 1 call today, let alone 2!! I am F**king livid!! She's promised me the case has been escalated to "A Bridge case" with the suppliers, and will be sorted tomorrow, and will get a call by 6PM. Also that there is a complaint case open on our account to get compensation. I believe none of that, absolutely none of it. Even when they fail for a 5th time to install it, they wont call me again. I'll be back on to them tomorrow night.
5th failed instillation date today from BT. The order has been canceled and will be set up again on high priority. I've got to wait for a call from the case handler to tell me when the SIXTH instillation date will be. I'm guessing it will be in about a weeks time. Making it nearly a month and a half, and counting. I was told under 2 weeks. Never use BT people.
That is obviously extremely frustrating to say the least. I've only been in my flat just under a year and have had both Virgin and BT installations and both happened at the time and date agreed.
I was so angry Saturday night on the Live Chat, and again on Sunday night on the phone that my hands were shaking. I could feel the rage building in my chest all day today as each hour ticked by with no Call or email AGAIN. I was so sure I would explode on the phone today. I've not sworn at them once so far, but I really thought I would today. I was pretty aggressive on the phone, but never totally lost it. I am amazed. That company is so full of Sh*t!!!
I have a cunning plan Maybe you should try the Andy Dufresne approach. Instead of waiting all day for their call, be the first call of the day. Get that person to commit to an action that day and give a direct contact line (If possible) e-mail contact if not. Then badger the wholey hell out of them until they resolve it. If a conplaint really hasn't been raised or documented, insist on getting one with reference and then escalate it there and then on the phone. Try to insist on speaking to managers or people that can/will actually progress it. I know that you must have chose Bt for a reason, but surely now it's time to vote with your feet? Instruct your bank to block any payment, If you have made any payment so far then take it to the ombudsmen to get it back if the complaints dept won't refund there and then. of course you presumably have to be at work which makes all of this considerably more difficult, can you ask them for transcripts or evidence of each action they keep promising? You will have a better case for the ombudsmen or compo the more documented failures you can present.
Thanks mate. I have been badgering them been on the phone and live web chat pretty much every day for the last 2 weeks. I have a complaint reference number as of the last convo. Apparently because of the mess up with where our lines are fed too the main box at the end of the road, they have cancelled the order for some reason (which takes 48 hours to confirm) then they will set a new order and put it on high priority. So that's why I've been assigned a case handler (I was told I'd be assigned one after fail 3, they have now said it again after fail 5.) will call me Wednesday (not holding my breath) to sort it out and tell be the 6th instillation date. Because that would have been 48 hours. So I can't do anymore until Wednesday really. When they won't call again, and il be back on that bloody phone!
Also I have a transcript of web chat conversations from Saturday and Sunday. Both 100% promising me it will be sorted the next day, both promising me I will defenitly get a call. Neither happened. I've been told I am due "considerable compensation" which I'm not holding out much hope on, bet it's not even enough to cover 1 months bill. The hours Iv been on my mobile phone to them. God knows what my phone bill will be. As for payment, I haven't been put on to the new Tariff, so I'm still paying a monthly charge for my original monthly service. Which although now is slower than before, it is working.
Do you suffer from Shaking hands ? Chest pain ? Explosive rage ? If calling a B T Mumbai call centre detrimentally effects your health and wellbeing simply write a strongly worded email to them cancel your direct debit and switch providers . Failing that move house. Forgot my lines house ^^^^
The assigned case handler, have they given you any details? I would have insisted on getting a direct contact to them. I would then have called them imediately to ask if they had been assigned my case. Then asked for documented confirmation theat the cancellation was in progress and when it ended. I would then call said person again as soon as that time concluded and ask if they had a new date for me. If they do not, why not, then ring persistently until they have (again documented) The key for me is getting names and even times available to call them + documentation if you know who they are and they have directly mislead you then it's much easier to complain about them later. It's also much easier to harass one person into action then several who will pass you on and on from pilar to post. Good luck
I have a satellite station here which my wife watches continuously. I have watched zero minutes TV at home this year, and have to say I am very happy about this fact, my evenings are full of either alcoholic or productive time, internet, reading, puzzles etc. In other words I try to keep my brain fairly active. Usually alcohol gets four nights a week though.

BT are **** I signed up for channels they couldn't provide so basically free view plus BT sports . They kept fobbing me off for a month saying it should be in my road anytime soon.. Eventually I got pissed off for waiting and decided to cancel They then told me that the 1 month cooling off period had ended and I was locked into paying for channels that I couldn't watch . Just emailed them telling them to shove it up their arsehole and cancelled payment with the bank
Unbelievable. Was it the offer for the Youview box with the Comedy Central and AMC type channels? I've got the Box, but can't get the channels yet, because you need infinity to get them....Which we are still awaiting...
I had to wait a month for the BT engineer to come and install a new phone line, took a day off work but he never showed up, didn't get a call or anything. I called them up and they said they will call me back in couple of days for a new installation date but never did. In the end I phoned them up again to cancel my order, I was on hold for well over an hour and had to explain my reasons 5 times because they kept passing me onto different people. So yeah BT sucks, you may want to do yourself a favour and cancel now while you can.
