I saw this earlier this morning and laughed myself silly. I was giving it until noon to appear here. You did not disappoint!

The democratic process was followed. The outcomes are not democratic.

Bollocks was it fair. They had better players than us. We should pick sides for a fair game. If we get first pick we have to get Deeney.

It's never going to be fair when you have a biased press and a lazy public not willing to do the research to find the truth of the matter. We reap what we sow. The nom-dom newspaper owners have seen to it that their own best interests, and not those of the country, have been served.

I'm not too sure that that is solely the problem. From what I've seen & heard, it's not so much being too lazy to research, more an inability to understand what they have found. That's where, in this country, the likes of Murdoch, Dacre and the Barclays step in with their jingoistic nonsense. About the only way to counter that would be to ban political reporting in the press - and that's never going to happen.

Something tells me this teacher has slightly lost control...

It's hard to tell what actually caused her to react like this, but I wonder if she felt empowered by the 'Trump effect'?

Three cafetières of strong coffee and 3g of speed at playtime couldn't have helped.

I should point out that many of the 'reports' of racial harassment following the election did in fact turn out to be complete canards. But that's 'social media' for you - any fule kno that they can post a reactionary tale and get an outrage ball rolling. I'm an immigrant myself and nobody harassed me.

I can't wait for it all to get started - it's going to make for great TV. I reckon he's going to balls it up in spectacular fashion (hopefully not to the above extent though).

The original Tina Turner lyric before that little tweak to make it a hit.

To clarify, whizz was used as used as a nickname for amphetamines, not disrespectful to P7s. In case you thought I was taking the proverbial. I just reread it and <yikes>

I very much doubt he will enact any of the nightmare scenarios Mex. The relationship is too symbiotic - especially so here in Borderland.

Despite his blister, Trump is not an idiot. And there is no benefit in cutting off your hand to spite your face. Especially as far as remittances go.

NAFT might get a do-over to keep the right happy but will not be done away with. The Border Patrol will be beefed up but I don't foresee a wall running the length of the border.

Where exactly is Trump's blister and why hasn't it been more widely reported?

I agree with this. Added to the fact that Trump is primarily in favour of Trump. He has won the election so he can now move on. I can't imagine that he feels the need to honour any of his electoral promises. He doesn't appear to have felt the need to do this in his business dealings, but I am only going on second and third hand reports on these.
