Another one out the running, the Dai's are buying Reading... http://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/reading-fc-takeover-dai-yongee-12222786
I've been speaking to someone very close to one of the recently interested consortia this morning. He and they are of the opinion that the current owners do not want to sell.
Are they fit and proper persons for a Championship club then? What is the price for a club with a similar sized, but better designed stadium where the can have manage with one row of seats as segregation and adjust the away area according to demand?
There was no issue with Dai's themselves, the Fit And Proper Person Test was failed due to another member of their consortium, who will presumably be left off any new application.
Couldn't they have ditched the other member and reapplied to buy us? Or did they think dealing with the Allams once was enough for anybody?
You'd think serious and successful business people would be capable of knowing what's required of them when buying a football club. If they manage to **** up at that stage, what makes them think they know what they're doing? Considering how bad some owners are, you have to wonder exactly what types the Dais are happy to work alongside.
There's only AP's mob left now as far as I'm aware and I'm still not convinced they've got the necessary funds.
It's all pretty desperate at the moment I hadn't renewed my pass for this season, but then (stupidly) when the sale was going through I got one then. Two days later the fit and proper person test was failed Gutted that we haven't sold, and gutted that I renewed now Used to go with 6 of us...it's now down to 3 of us who renewed mid season when we thought it had sold, one of whom is probably cancelling and two of us who are wavering and wished we hadn't renewed. None of this is helping my 'match day experience'!
There's been absolutely no information on anyone involved in that consortium that has any real money.
You would think successful business people would the know the extent of the debts of a football club they were buying. And the name of it.
I don't think it will matter whether they do or not. The Allams just don't seem to want to sell. Fancy them lying, eh?
How the **** did the Allams pass the fit and proper people test? Coz they ain't fit for anything, they're just ****s
I thought it had been said on here about it... I must have got the consortiums mixed up but that's hardly surprising
There was a rumour that there was someone interested who was mega-rich, in fact I think it came from Mooney, though I don't think anyone ever actually knew which consortium they were involved in.
There taking about 5 million in interest payments I really don't think ehab had any intention of selling just a distraction for the fans so they don't protest to much ... we would have been better going into administration then these fu-kers taking over ... even during the Dolan /fish times or David Lloyd I never felt so dejected about things as with these two I travel back from Malaysia to watch about 15 games a season normally and I have to say this is the first time I'm thinking of stopping till they go.the worst part is I like to travel back to spend time with my dad at games who's a pass holder as well, I hate these ****--s have put me in this position
