You do realise that Suarez told his manager and team mates he never said what he later admitted, they(Dalglish and his team mates)backed him by wearing the t-shirts based on that.

Unless you're suggesting they all knew he was guilty and wore the t-shirts anyway.

Oh, and your one banana thrower had around 19,999 sympathisers.

“One of the defining moments of my life came when I went to a game where Everton were playing Stoke and Garth Crooks came on as substitute,” remembers Emy. “I must have been about 11 or 12 at the time and I’d never heard anything like 20,000 people giving a black guy racist abuse.

“I wasn’t naive, there were only about two or three black families in our school so of course I was familiar with racist taunts one-to-one but this was completely different, I’d never seen something on that scale before.

“There were monkey chants, people shouting ‘ni**er’ and ‘black b***ard’, coming from adult men and women not from kids, and it was so loud you couldn’t not hear it.
"It was such a hostile atmosphere, I remember wondering how he must feel to have all that aimed towards him.”

So that's why Koeman #bottled the Norwich game and has thrown away any hopes of CL qualification, he knows he can't win the finals

    Thanks for explaining Everton's #smallclubmentality <ok>

Koeman has ambition of being a #chequebookmanager but Moshiri won't show him the money

Personally I am really intrigued to see how this works out at Everton. I have made no secret that I wish them well - not more than us but generally it would be great to have a top class city rivalry.
Anyway Koeman seems like a good manager but is this the first crisis he has had to deal with at club level?
Clubs do not appear to be allowing managers to have crisis' anymore. They can have mini ones but the time being afforded to them is less and less. Once talk of losing the dressing room beds in clubs seem to react.
I am hoping that Everton give Koeman support and the time to sort whatever he needs to sort. I thought this season would be too soon - always an outside chance but next season is a more reasonable amount of time to see some improvement.
I think the media have way too much power in this country - I am not against freedom of speech but the media seem to push/drive the next big things and the need to sensationalise increases after every story.
That is why ATM Klopp is ok - everyone laughs but at some point the media stance will change and he will be placed under scrutiny. (Tbf what is happening with Mourihnio )
Everton clearly have ambition - they may want to make money but who doesn't - FSG are only going to increase our capacity once again if they get their way on ticket prices imho. We appear to be being blackmailed by our own club!
Koeman has just been honest when asked questions - no harm in that really.

I agree on our club. I think FSG put a hold on anfield road end the moment that protest occured and it will never be built until they get their way or sell up.

I do however this honesty is fine face to face but when you are talking to a press who have an agenda you cannot be honest you have to push a line.

Look at hamilton yesterday. no win situation so he had to fob over countless leading questions all seeking a headline comment.

    This
I think you should be able to be honest without the risk of sensationalism. The press should be there to report the facts and the facts alone.
The problem is a manger is asked how do you think the ref performed today?

Manager x says 'I did not think the ref had a great game today. He made a few mistakes and one of them cost us the game.'

    Press can report
Manager x blames ref for dismal display
Manger x has problem with ref - it's their fault we lost!

    Or press can say
Team x lose - unlucky decision costs them dearly

One is inflammatory and will sell papers, so it depends on what the current climate is and who the press wish to push. I know nothing can be done it is very frustrating.

Nothing wrong with being honest if there's #consistency

Koeman and Moshiri came in with talk of £100m investment, not needing to sell players, and having #ambition to compete

That's now turned into £3m profit in transfers, Stones sold ASAP, and Lukaku told he'll need to move on to compete

So maybe Moshiri and Koeman have sat down and decided that they do not need to spend just yet. Ambition is not we are going to it is we wish / want / are able to in the future - surely?

Clubs do not alter fortunes over night even the cash cow ones had to build, due to virtually limitless funds city have addressed everything to get where they are now but it took - 5-6 years and the job still is not complete. Chelsea likewise.

I think the evidence will be how much time they afford Koeman tbf i have not heard anywhere that his job is under threat (well apart from banter on here) which to me would suggest there is a plan moving forward. Moshiri maybe targeting the ground first as in the modern game ground development seems to be playing a major part. Everton look to me like they maybe trying to follow a variation on the Arsenal model. They have employed a good solid Manager they are in a healthy position in the league, building for future.

They look like they are trying to take a sensible approach to progress to me.

Ignore him mate, he's not wanting a sensible discussion on this subject, trust me.

There was money to spend in the summer, but we made a hash of it, by hanging on for players who were beyond where we should realistically be pitching at this point in time.

This will hopefully be rectified in both Jan - but more importantly next summer. There's a big rebuilding job to do at Everton, we're an ageing side and there's some that need shipping out, as they're simply not good enough.

He doesn't want to be #rodgersthefraud chequebook manager.

I mean, if you spend £100odd million you would expect the title.

The #Klippityklopp takes that side backwards in the league

It isn't a big job he has on now.

Glad he didn't get Sissoko, but just Gana and in flashes Bolaise have been a hit in the summer market.

Don't agree mate, I think we're 4 or 5 first teamers short, and some of the back up just isn't good enough.

We're due a clearout, and let's hope Walsh and Koeman can get their own side together, some of the overpaid beauts out there at the minute are going through the motions and can **** off for me.

Watching pundits talk after game and made good point which hadn't really thought about which was your defence and midfield are all on wrong side of 30.

Baines, Jag, Williams, Coleman, Barry. Going to have to replace on a phased basis but might not be cheap.

I agree with everything you've said except this. To me getting a journeyman manager isn't building for the future, it's a quick fix. Buying ageing players going into a 'new era' is also a quick fix.

A new stadium is obviously Moshiri's priority. That's a good sign of someone looking to the future and literally rebuilding the club. I'm excited to see what they come up with as it will be great for the city as a whole.

That should read is a big job.

Only Gana is coming out with any credit so far for me with Bolaise in bursts.

Coleman is only 28, Williams has another couple of seasons in him, but the other 3 will all need replacing in Jan / next summer.

Jags is particular has fallen off a cliff, Baines injuries have caught up with and despite being a great pro Barry is 35 now.

    Agreed. <ok>

I'd like to see him ditch the 4-2-3-1 as well.
