the problem is in the phrase "reasonably be expected to score", it is fairly likely that people will judge individuals harsher because of their history eg zlatan/rooney and judge them as big chances rather than if it was another player.

The "not player related" was in regard to the definition of a chance.

in football apart from number of goals etc all "stats" are disputable as they are based on some bored bloke sitting in a stand doing 5 bar gates for "successful passes" "tackles" "chances" and now apparently "Big Chance" as i'm sure you are aware.
Just relax breathe deeply and imagine soft sand underfoot and gently lapping waves

The fact they classed the header v us as a "big chance" shows me that it's a bit hit and miss. It was a half chance given the angle he was at, would have been a spectacular header to lob it back over the keeper into far corner.

 

I may just turn into a stat man if it produces this kind of response

He was "doing it" in the French league though... Balotelli is showing how bad the standard is there, especially when Ibra played for the team that have dominated in that league for the last 6 years.
