we will not be stuffed by anyone and those teams who think we will are in for a shock. except for the top 6 so called super clubs that use money and not skill for success then we are up there on merit with the rest and we will lose some and we will win some just like everyone else. we are capable of doing well just like we were written of the last time we were in the top flight......we finished in 6th place. we jacks are proud to be playing in the premiership and we will fill every away game with whatever tickets we are allocated and we will also welcome every team to the liberty just like we aways did (cardiff, leeds not included for obvious reasons) against all the championship teams last season......so everything is up for grabs and we will be in the mix and we are capable beating anyone on the day....lets all have a great season with no trouble as we are all supporters of football abet different teams....

In response to this comment, Swansea have usually always out played and beaten the teams who have spent more than us. We were relegation candidates for the championship last season. We don't have a lot of money, but we pride ourselves on the team spirit. You look at players who have left us to go to 'bigger' clubs. They usually always end up regreting it.

I can understand the fans of premiership teams writing us off. We are basically unknown. Not many people know about our club, and to be fair, why would they?
Even John Toshack said we would struggle in the Championship - and he is a fan! However, I think John Tosh is an exception, have a look at the Welsh team, they are still suffering from all the confidence and flair he sucked out of our quality young players. The damage will take a long time to repair.

agree tosh has ruined wales as a team, any other manager and we would not have lost as many players as we have (18) ...it will take a few years of hard work by speed and co (not my choice) to get a decent side to get back into the top 50 in the Rankin's. we will get there one day...

For example...... a person living in Finland defending English culture and being demeaning to a Celtic heritage .....like you. So you proved my point that I would probably get an Anglophile spouting off.
Wales is not considered an Anglo Saxon country (as in the term Anglophile ). We are Celts and someone who outside Wales, Scotland and Ireland who admired their culture would be a Celtophile.

Back to school for you sir.

Oh dear. If this is the sort of crap we will have to put up with - on both sides - this season then god help us. 606 gone but not forgotten.

Thousands of English people holiday in Wales every year so they don't seem to have a problem.I would love £10 for every time i've heard the old chestnut about people speaking Welsh when they realise you're English <doh>.I would love to know where in Wales this had happened to you

You've got to be a bit unlucky for this to happen, seeing as only about 20% of the Welsh population speak Welsh. Chances are if a Welsh speaker heard an English accent and started speaking Welsh on purpose, four of there mates would look just as puzzled.
Also, would you go to France and moan about the French speaking French in front of you?
I think any fan who visits Swansea this year will be made to feel welcome. I myself now live in Portsmouth and any time i've gone back to Wales with my English friends they've never had any trouble. In fact my girlfriend couldn't believe how welcoming and polite people were compared to Pompey. And to be fair, i've never had any problems in Portsmouth, bar the odd dickhead.

In England if they do not want a trainer to hear them then they whisper and turn their heads away, is this any different?
