Not much luck today. Livelovelaugh ran well but wasn't able to compete with the field when the pace quickened up. Edwulf had no chance with Min today but he will need to improve his fluency at fences and step up in trip, an exciting horse still I believe. Killer Miller midfield in the big one and Fine Rightly ran very well back over hurdles to take 4th with an impressive Jury Duty another winner for Gordon Elliot.

Min was neat and tidy today. He won't be far away over 2m chases so much depends on how good Altior turns out over the big ones.

Another for Gordon Elliott! 6 out of 7 is a fair achievement.

Sassy Diva cruised into that bumper too but just got outstayed in the end. A surefire winner pretty soon.

To be fair he can train very well though. That filly that won the bumper was bought for €600 as a foal. Two point wins and 2 bumper wins under her belt now. Great stuff.

Doubt it, that's how many lines you would have had to bet on to cover all his runner permutations!!

Min was very good, will be some Arkle if he and Altior both get there in top form, not to mention Identity Thief, Yorkhill, Buveur D'Air .....................

I would love to have been a fly on the wall in the weighing room before the race: "Now then lads, don't want none of yous getting in Ruby's way out there" <laugh>

Have we got anything definitive about Yorkhill or Buveur D'air?

They are the two horses from a value perspective that would interest me for a Champion Hurdle or Arkle/JLT, but I'd like some information!

No info but I remember very well the Wiley chap last March saying he'd bought Yorkhill to win a Gold Cup. That statement together with Min looking good today cements my view that Yorkhill will go JLT. When I'm proved wrong I'm comforted by the fact that this thread will be the Internet equivalent of fish and chip wrapping come March.

Last I saw Willie talk was suggesting he thinks he could make a top level hurdler.

Nicky had been waiting for soft ground to school Buveur D'air- with Altior he could go the JLT route but I'd like to see the Arkle be a spectacle and them all take on Altior.
