Shame well never get another 18m bid for Kone.

    Plus 30 for Pickford.

    Short gives 12m.

60m. Surely big Dave could work with that.

    Then i woke up.

Yep that would be decent but will never happen. At the time of the Kone saga I was praying we kept him as really thought we could build a team around him but he's been average at best this season and has been at fault for a lot of goals. If he can regain his form of last season we will start keeping clean sheets as long as Djilobodji doesn't get back in anyway so the jury is still out on him for me. We may get 5 million maximum for him now though on current form.

Get £50m for Pickford, then bring Mignolet back he is stuck in the Liverpool reserves, a creative midfielder plus a striker to get us 15 goals before the end of the season, and I have had it with Watmore he should have scored by now, why did he not hit that chance he had first time ?

No, not going on what we have seen so far, I would be a tad nervous, but he is our manager and like it or not, our squad does need some serious rebuilding. This is going to be a crucial year or two, ideally Pickford stays for at least these two years, and in the meantime Moyes restores his reputation as a team builder, this would be the win win situation, it is not out of the question, but a lot rests on Moyes, Bain and Ellis making the right decisions, the jury is out on all three imo.

Selling off homegrown local players to pay of his debt would be the last straw for me. This club is bigger than Short, him doing this would be disrespectful to the club, it's history, fans, and to every striving youngster who wants to grow up to represent their favorite and local club. It's telling you it doesn't matter if you grow up to be good enough for Sunderland. It won't mater, all that matters is the price you develop on your head. It sells the club as something I want no part of.

I think the Mig would be a rather expensive option, with Vito still here, we only need a decent back up imo.
But I would prefer to keep Pickford for now unless we did get a 50m offer, and the player himself was keen to move on. But you are right about Watmore, he needs a goal soon, perhaps bringing him off the bench in the later stages would be a better option for him atm. He was probably running on empty himself yesterday, and a fresh Watmore might have rescued a valuable point.

Hope you at least keep him til May...you are now playing better and have a good chance of staying up and keeping him would really help.

I see it panning out the same. In which case I'm done with the club until he's gone. If Short sells Pickford I'll never set foot inside the Sol again till he's sold up and ****s off.

Sell a clubs identity and you loose people who identify with it. I'll be one of those people. I understand folk are only just coming round to how poor an owner Short is. But he's been grinding my gears for years now and I'm at my limit.

I still have some sympathy for Short, and will not give up on him just yet, he has made some awful appointments in his time but I am sure this had more to do with naivety, rather than a lack of ambition, it has not been an easy ride far from it, and the managers between Roy Kean and Big Sam have a lot to answer for. We have consistently failed in the transfer market, buying expensive and selling cheap, until this is addressed we will continue to struggle whoever owns the club. If as he states Moyes is his dream appointment we will soon see if he gives him enough backing to at least maintain our League status, which in itself would be a remarkable achievement, given our situation at the beginning of the season.
