I was in North Carolina visiting my sister a month ago. Stopped at an outdoor mall for dinner. It was all decorated and had Xmas music playing. 80F+ weather (upper 20C), sunny October, leaves still on trees, and bloody Xmas music playing.
I'm not preaching I'm expressing a point of view, one which is obviously opposed to whatever you feel about it, but don't insult me or try to dismiss my opinion simply because you don't agree with it and also don't tell me to chill, I'm perfectly calm, you're the one trying to escalate the discussion into not-calmness.
This weekend is traditionally when decorations go up in the US, weekend after Thanksgiving. There again they take them down on boxing day in most places.
I would like to go to say California for christmas at least once in my life, the weirdness of it must be worth experiencing. It was 0C on my car thermometer here tonight btw The xmas music has hit here this week, same old ****, another year of it, do people not get tired of the same songs and the same thing year after year ? What did you have for dinner though ?
For me 1st December onwards is totally fine, it's Advent, it's the right month, not that Advent really means anything to a lot of people beyond the chocolate calendars
Indeed, @RedLadSonofAnfield saying im teaching my daughter wrong values, and what am I trying to raise What a twat As usual, spouting off without a ****ing clue of the real world She has been poorly past 3 days with a bad chest and to try and lift her spirits we have gone out today and decorated the outside with Chrimbo lights, its worked as well to some extent Maybe I should have cleared it with the fountain of knowledge @RedLadSonofAnfield first
I apologise @RedLadSonofAnfield if I came over a bit heavy handed. Didnt mean to and sorry about the insults, if you felt insulted. Been a stress few days for me but no excuse. I stand by what I said though, daughter ill + with the pissing about of decorating the outside have them up as long as possible. But I shouldnt have been personal so apoligies on that
I am sure when Redlad has a family, and his kids are all excited from early November onwards that Xmas is around the corner, he will mellow. He may be an agnostic, but celebrating Xmas with the family when the kids are young is one of the most enjoyable things about family life, and it is such a short period within the overall life of a family that it should be enjoyed to the maximum. I'll leave it at that as I am filling up.............the coffee pot for breakfast.
Here is the Molby goal against Utd that the BBC claim they have no film of. It proves Molby was occasionally mobile!
