I don't know what you're thinking Rafa, but don't... - My thoughts on the Blackburn game.

Don't even remember him playing that game, they were comfortably better than us and thoroughly deserved the win, don't forget this is a team who Charlie Mulgrew at centre half and Mitro won nothing off him all game. Yes it was bad they are a team who will go down, who are managed by the worst manager in the League.

 

With the exception of Rotherham, it's way too early to be saying which teams will go down in this league - or which ones will go up. We took a chance and didn't play our best team to give us a better chance on Tuesday. In this league that is always a risk, but we've been crying out for the club to take the cups seriously, so let's not knock him for it.

 

Not criticising that, the problem was the performance of players like Mitrovic, Atsu, Perez and Hayden to name some. I'm sorry but Blackburn will go down and if you want to go up then this is a must win game and we have to hope we don't regret it come May. Still got a lot of very difficult away games (Reading, Norwich, Brighton, Huddersfield, Birmingham and Sheff Wed). Would still expect us to go up but as today proves this is a nasty league to be in and that we have to get out of it ASAP.

Exactly. Ill take a one nil loss to Blackburn if it means a win over Hull in the cup any day of the week. Its about time we took the cup competitions seriously. We should have plenty in reserve in the league.

I still maintain his odd goal here and there masks over him actually being a bad player. I just don't rate the lad at all. Can't quite put my finger on why. But back on topic this was a bad result for us. No other way of looking at it. But a reality check is always needed.

Don't see why Tash is getting stick for creating the thread - think its a good idea. We may not all agree with his opinions but he seems quite happy to hear what everyone else has to say as well. Its got to be better than a Headline Game that you can't win or a Prediction League that never gets updated.
I didn't watch the game so am not going to pass comment on how everyone played but it seems we have more of a problem in the games we are expected to win easily and the onus is on us to create chances. Noticeable that in a season where we are winning most games that 3 of our 4 losses have come at home.
