Anybody watch the Milan vs Inter game on Saturday? At the final whistle Robinho and Pato kept repeatedly looking into the camera and pulling their eyes back to pretend to be asian. I have no idea why they were doing this, but it did not look good at all.
I watched it and couldn't believe they were doing it (I only noticed Pato, to be fair) but then, I also couldn't believe that 40,000 Chinese turned up in Milan strips and 40,000 in Inter strips It was a cracking game but I can't believe that the authorities won't pull up the Milan players for this.
Our pc-mad programmed brains here in the UK cant quite fathom it, but apparently they dont find that at all offensive.
The Han Chinese are taught in school (erroneously) that they evolved seperately from the rest of Homo Sapiens. Maybe they took it as a compliment....
i made friends with loads of chinese in college. they dont find it offensive, because they call us "round eyes".
