Only watched the highlights but looked like the player that he was before he moved. Top movement pace and dribbling. He's a quality player and wish we'd have signed him before he went to Dortmund.

We aren't top four, we're top three

Best case scenario for Man Utd is fighting Arsenal, Spurs, and Watford for 4th spot

David Ngog looked good in the Europa League though.

Thats cos he was awesome. Vastly underrated and underused! Would have won the league in 09 if Rafa had put him in more ahead of Torres

Maybe Pogba could find his level wherever Ngog is now

He's a quality player. Don't buy into Jose's reasons for not playing (getting used to physicality of the league). The average distance covered per game in the BuLi is higher than the PL, Dortmund themselves are above average as they are a very high pressing team.

Mkhitaryan covered >12.3km in a match on 17 occasions, he averaged 11.62km per90 last season, that's higher than any Man Utd player in 16/17.

Man Utd put 4 past a Europa League team called "Fe..." at Old Trafford only to be humiliated the following Sunday against a PL team from London

Maybe Jose just can't spell his name when he's writing the team sheet so he just bungs in Rooney instead.

Breaking news on bbc news and sky news is about more former players coming forward with allegations of them being sexually abused.
bbc football's leading story is Ibra saying Rooney "is the perfect player", their fat cat bosses in London need to get a grip of those ****s at media city and tell them to stop their Utd come first policy.
Paul Stewart was just interviewed on ITV, the lad was in tears, he said that he's never been able to hold his children and tell them he loves them because of the mental scars of what had happened to him at the hands of the pervert that assaulted him.
    That is truly sad.

Its more the intensity of it and the time you get on the ball here as opposed to in the Bundesliga IMO.

There are loads of examples of players who have struggled physically with the league like Aspas, Sahin, Kagawa etc.

Fair point but of those players, how many were given a real chance or prolonged run in the team.

Firmino was the same - it takes a little getting used to but I think it's more down to adapting to a new team, new colleagues, new culture, language barriers.

Some people fail due to circumstance, that's true. Being played out of position or in the wrong system.

I think Jerome Boateng is a good example of this, he didn't have the best start at City but IIRC he was in and out of the team with different partners and in different positions. He's better than any centre back City have at the moment and have had since but it just didn't work out for him.

Timing is really important in transfers, few years earlier Morientes would've been a lot better for us.

Yeah I don't get this whole EPL is too fast hard etc, yes I will grant you it is different to some styles of play but if it is that much harder then why are our teams so shyte in Euro comps?
Yes sometimes good players will come here and fail but many more come here and shine.
mkhitaryan is clearly a quality player who I thought oh shyte when Utd bought him and should do well in the Prem. only time will tell but if he doesn't then for me it is mourinho s fault and not this "epl too hard too fast nonsense" perpetuated by sky et al

It is faster and harder, I don't think that is nonsense perpetuated by Sky, its something that has been remarked on by most foreign managers and players that come into the league. The price you pay for having a more hectic league is fatigue and less tactical games, which is where English teams fall down in Europe, we have no idea what to do when Italian or Spanish teams play them and slow the game down.

The challenge for any foreign player coming into the PL is the physicality and intensity of it, same as the challenge in Serie A is the tactical and defensive side of things.

Not too sure it is faster and Harder than bund but yes a bit faster compared to others maybe.
as for what players say to the media, what else do you expect them to say? it's a piece of piss here compared to ................

    PS harder in what way?
