FORMER Sunderland chief Margaret Byrne has returned to her old club to sign players for her new agency — and wants their 15-year-old wonderkid.

Byrne, 36, quit as Black Cats CEO in March in the wake of the Adam Johnson scandal.

She set up football agency First For Players and brokered Yannick Bolasie’s £25million summer switch from Crystal Palace to Everton.

Now Byrne has added Sunderland prospect George Honeyman, 22, and their England Under-23 ladies ace Beth Mead, 21, to her client list.

Black Cats chiefs are also probing claims Byrne met with an academy coach and the club’s England Under-15s starlet Bali Mumba.

If she had met with Mumba, who does not turn 16 until next year, this would have been in breach of FA regulations.
