Atlantis

I watched the BBC prog about Atlantis last night.

Apparently Atlantis was the Greek Island of Santorini (Thera) that suffered a cataclysmic volcanic eruption.

I had always thought Atlantis was an underwater kingdom populated by Fishmen and was destroyed by Doug McClure.

 

Was that not the Isle of Skye?

 

Atlantis exists - it's at the bottom of my fish tank

 

Atlantis is where Patrick Duffy lived before his Dallas days.

Fact.

 

I barely remember that series because I was very young, didn't he have webbed hands and feet??

 

Honestly, I have no idea. I just remember hearing he was the main man in it.

I loved him in Dallas.

 

I'm guessing my Doug McClure/Isle of Skye reference is lost on everyone else?

 

Same here, I think he had to return to the water after an hour which just about gave him time to give some tart a good seeing to.

The end of The Land That Time Forgot where Doug McClure is seen escaping to freedom over rugged ground was filmed on Skye.
