I'll be there, if only to make my voice heard. Anyone else coming along for it? I know we've got some fervent Bates haters on here and this is the prime opportunity to get some sort of movement going. Bates out!
Yes, he's the only alternative to Ken Bates. No other person would ever be interested in Leeds United, one of the most lucrative clubs in football. No. It also won't stop AIDS, cancer or homelessness, it's a protest against how Bates has sucked our club dry of money that would otherwise have got us promoted. The Facebook page is here for anyone interested: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Bates...er-Statue-1330-on-13th-August/157417537669432
Fair enough, but would Grayson had done anything with the Delph money,Kasper money, compensation money etc? He's shown us he's not great when dealing in the transfer market when on the rare occasions he's had cash to spend,& he's also shown a distinct lack of tactical nous. O'Dea is NOT an LB,McCormack is not a lone striker/target man. If Bates goes & we get money to spend,is Grayson the manager we want to invest that money? I think not.
As much as I love Leeds United; protesting & staying away from the club and not giving that tight **** any of your money is the only way to get some kind of action. I have to also agree where LeedsEssex is coming from, although I have said Grayson is the right man for the job some of yesterdays tactical errors were shocking.
It's before the Boro game, 13:30. Spread the message however you can! At the protest, we're looking to make some flyers which will encourage the reader not to invest in anything other than matchday tickets.
ristac is correct dont buy season tickets an all others leave the stadium empty---give the bent one fook all ---but its hard we all love leeds an smurfy knows it----a bit of luck summat cud happen to him
Agree with everthing you say except for staying away when you have bought a season ticket it would be mad not to use it but agree please dont buy anything from the club except a tickeet.
Bates out is fine, but who in? I know it may seem a stupid question but theres hardly news of people queuing out the door to buy us. And Bates is possibly bloody-minded enough to just say "fine then" and bugger off leaving us in no man's land. I've said before I don't think O'Dea is meant to be the long term LB solution. Also McCormack may have been the lone striker but he wasn't the target, Snoddy was, but he won **** all in the air to go with the rest of his worst ever performance in a Leeds shirt.
Basically the tactics were all wrong,ok Snods had an off day but the last thing he is is a target man so why use him as one. I agree with you on the Bates issue. He's served his purpose but who would replace him? Just on a topic away from this thread,I along with you are one of the one's who think the squad is stronger now,but I have lost all faith in Grayson. There's no point having a stronger squad if its not utilized to its full potential, plying players out of position, leaving better players out of the starting eleven, last minute acquisitions played out of position etc. I think we need a change of manager first & foremost,I just think he's lost his way.
I believe the team is weaker than last season, but I agree totally that Simon has lost the plot. With him in charge I dont think we will ever know truely if the squad is weaker or stronger as we will never get a best eleven all playing in position in an attacking but organised formation (4-4-2 !!)
Maybe avoid buying the first match day programme of the season, Bates will have plenty to say in it so if all agreed not to buy it maybe the message would get accross we don't want to listen to his lies and dribble (and it is the most expensive in the WHOLE country).
sorry but i dont agree.... i also think we have short memmories this agrument goes round like a hamster wheel....... and round again and round again and round again im dizzy now ......
Spanish i've just kept out of this because i know im going to get jumped for defending bates, i think its ridiculous that people want him out
i agree.... but hey think we are in the minority on here... nothing worng with a difference in points if view and i like a good debate but dont see any real difing reason... other than he is not throwing millions into transfers!!!! - i seem to remember a little problem that happened a few years ago with that great plan!
If we stop buying programmes, merchandise etc Bates would just sell a player to recoup his losses-its a no win situation which in the long term would have a detrimental affect on the team.
