Our cat sleeps stretched out on the bed just above my wife's head - I reckon she trained it do that so that, when I accuse her of snoring all night, she says "Not me...."

Sometimes, when I'm feeling brave enough, I'll tell her the cat sleeps there because she talks in her sleep & cats like hot air... You'd think I would have learned by now to :emoticon-0127-lipss

Hello all from a cloudy St Helier. Found out that the tax issue was my own fault - it is because of the amount showing as outstanding which will probably be corrected. I forgot to claim the exemption for my sons being in education in 2014 and 2015. I just need to write a letter explaining that and that I would like to claim the additional personal allowance that comes with it.

    Morning, Dave; morning, all. :)

Leadership at work total funking idiots. Being threatened with disciplinary action for sticking to contract... The union'll love this one but sometimes I wish they would all **** off and let me do my job. <doh>

Thanks, Dave, I will. I'll 'win', too, but it's all a balls-aching waste of time. Muscle-flexing from both sides and I'm bored with it. Been through two years of this **** and there comes a point where real life becomes more important...

Morning all, a blue sky and sunshine, also mild again here. Laminate flooring is on the agenda today, and get that done there will be one whole room complete. Shut the door and move on to the next one. A friend of my daughter said she would help by grouting floor tiles. She spent all day Tuesday on her hands and knees and completed about one quarter of one room, large rooms. When she has finished that room there is another one waiting for her, and a third one where the tiles have yet to be laid. I doubt that she will like that job when finished.

    Morning all

Spent all yesterday afternoon cleaning and tidying so that the house was looking spotless for a viewing first thing this morning. Phone call at 8.45 am to tell us the viewers were unwell and unable to come. Grrrrrrrrrrr....

Yesterday I was given a time slot between 8.00 a.m. to mid day for an engineer to change our dodgy electrical supply meter. Had a phone call at 11.50 a.m. advising he would not be turning up. Still waiting for new appointment. I'm not sure if the company has a monopoly on this service, they certainly need some competition.

If only it were true! A 15-minute drive at best. Remind them of the efficacy of the herbs growing in the garden perhaps?

My doctor is moving out of her surgery, in reality a broom cupboard, into a nice new building that will have lots of additional facilities to save us a journey to town. We have been promised that there will be someone there to give our feet some tender loving care, so if she turns out to be the right age and looks, I might pop along for a bit of a massage. The doctor is stressed however due to the fact that her reams of records for us all are going to be transferred to a computer, and she is not sure that she will be ready for it. Mme really helped last week on a visit by telling the doctor that she would get used to it, but to expect that after twelve months the system would be changed.
