He was very good against Spurs when he came on in LC. Bit of mix match of a game but looked a real threat like we saw last year. He looks like could be very exciting player just needs a run of games but at the moment front 3 are so good it's hard to make any changes.
Maybe... i think last game you could have dropped firmino where lallana plays and put origi up top which is what you were doing last year.
Firm never played CM. If anything Cout would go back and Firm would go wide but you lose something with him wide as he doesn't that that burst of pace. Surprised Cout didn't come off and Origi come on or start Origi wide which is where he generally plays in a front 3. Think Klopp likes that pace on wings with Mane and PEA playing wide at Dortmund in early career
No way. Klopp last season was definitely playing Firms in the number support striker role and coutinho on the left. I remember as couts and moreno is a travesty of a combination. Origi or sturridge were up top.
Firm was playing wide right last year... he's never played in a midfield 3. Now and then if we played 4231 he played a bit more centrally but didn't happen often. Was generally wide right.
you still play a 4-2-3-1 now? and you were pretty much playing that last year? Or is it more a 4-1-4-1 nowadays?
Its 433 now albeit with flexibility but firm central with Mane and Cout wide is how we line up and midfield 3.
I know Firms play false 9 so if you want to call the top 3 rather than an out and out striker but i thought both hendo and can/winja were holding midfielders with licence to attack whereas the 3rd midfield was free to do what they want?
He's one for the future.. not sure how true but Klopp claimed he wanted to sign him for Dortmund when he was still manager there, so I guess he likes the lad just, with the way the current players are playing he and Sturridge need to be patent
Putting s formation on it is tough as they all move around a hell of a lot so never stick to one rigid formation. Ots like the 3-5-2 or 5-3-2 with wing backs. Arguments for both. Firm if not playing right up top generally played wide right last year though.
If anyone gets dropped into the Lallana role when he's not available, its Coutinho, he played a similar deeper play maker role in 13/14, the year of the slip.. That could allow for the likes of Origi or Sturridge to play up top..
This^ We can only play 11 at once, and so far the current line-up is doing pretty well. You don't break up a successful system and bring in others just to keep them happy. They need to take their opportunities as and when they come along and show that they fit in as well as or better than those they replace.
Only issue is if you suddenly lose a couple to injury and the back ups haven't been playing then hard for them to just slot in.
No idea what that is, but sure. Saying all that, Klopps not played the same first 11 for 40 odd games apparently so squad are getting a workout.
I know you prefer Babycham, but you must know what a pint is. The original phrase is pint pot,btw - but I was hoping not to have to explain. Perhaps Klopp hasn't played the exact same 11, but it's obvious what his preferred line-up at the front is, and it doesn't include Sturridge or Origi as starters. They're subs or back-up atm.
No idea what a quart is yeah seems to to be the defence which keeps changing, mainly through injury. Just think origi and studge should be getting more chances so in Jan when Mane is out we aren't experimenting and have someone who is already up to speed to come in and continue playing well
