Serves him right? For what? Being a hardworking bloke who hasn't got a pot to piss in? Who took the jam out of your doughnut Turkish?
Will the local paper be handing out hats with "Haway to Humberside" on? Will their John Fieldhouse equivalent be describing the scene on the coaches as young fans, wide-eyed with excitement set off on the trip of a lifetime?
Watney Cup Final 73? Mansfield, Bristol R then Stoke in the final-three away ties in a week! It's not fair!
You've now progressed to slagging off our fans for something that hasn't even happened yet. However, I suspect you might be right although I think its safe to say neither club will be in the final.
I don' think either of us would. Not slagging our fans off for something at all, just being realistic. We sold that many in 2 days for our first play off final. Shows how instead of building on that euphoria that things have deteriorated. In some ways I would be disappointed if 20,000 people who had been boycotting or reckoned they couldn't afford a game at the KC suddenly decided they had to stop boycotting and could afford to pay the same as 6 or 7 league games would cost them to travel and see this one game. It is only a Mickey Mouse Cup after all. It really is sad. A few years ago you would have had great difficulty in getting a ticket for a game which could have taken us into a semi-final of a competition where the final was at Wembley. The nightmare scenario is the unlikely prospect of us meeting TWS. More embarrassment in a semi-final as they would have inadequates with Hull or .East Riding postcodes infestingball areas of the stadium. Even worse if was a final where we would be even more outnumbered by another Yorkshire team than we were against Wednesday.
How few? We didnt sell our allocation for the FA Cup Semi Final against Sheff U. A lot on here said they were waiting for the Final...
A few years before we had any success. Not that long ago we had the local paper printing souvenir hats and more supporters travelling away when we reached the third round of a cup competition and drew a PL side. Apparently the novelty wore off after a couple of visits after waiting over 100 years for our first visit. Good job we haven't had as much success over the years as some clubs as we would be down to a couple of buses of supporters on that basis.
Newcastle fans hit out at 'shambles' EFL Cup quarter-final allocation at Hull http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/newcastle-fans-hit-out-shambles-9322467
Of all the things that the As have done...this is by far the funniest ! Would have been a great choice for a home fan boycott! (Yeah I know it practically is but you know what I mean)
I was thinking the same thing earlier, with the added funny of any dirty black n white ****es being thrown out if not in the away area.
