as a leeds fan i think he is worth more than that, i'd say closer to 5 although he's untested in the prem
I would certainly hope that would be the case but we have been shafted before by our club. I am not trying to draw any comparison between Robert Chase & David McNally but RC will always be remembered for quoting "If Chris Sutton leaves Norwich & so will I" or words to that effect! Just weeks later he set about selling our forward line. I think we were 4th in the PL at the time and ended up relegated.
i've never labelled him as that, always thought he was underrated and last season he proved me right, i think he is as important to you guys as becchio is to us, probably more
yea maybe but i think he'll be underrated by most teams in the PL this season as well so maybe he'll be able to put similar performances in and continue to score goals. I dont think the extra physicality of the league will throw him off to be honest
Inclined to agree. His physical presence I think could be likened to Kevin Davies at Bolton, only difference being Holty is likely to score more often
No idea if there's truth in a bid or not, but there's not a chance he'll be off. Would City spend the last two years working their nuts off to get to this position, only to sell our leading centre forward just before the season starts? Doesn't sound quite right, does it?
i wouldnt say more chance to score just yet as he hasnt at this level (i presume hes never played in the prem before) but yea i would agree with the likeness of kevin davies. He is definitely good enough i think, its just how long it will take him to adapt to the prem, whether it be straight away or months. Hows Johnson done for you guys in pre-season? is he likely to start da reckon or you got better players keeping him out?
Newcastle can **** right off, why would we sell him? Also, the article can't even spell the word bid!
whoa whoa whoa, mr dangerous, read the op first line 'BBC Gossip' got to fill their column inches thankyou to be honest don't know too much about the lad
Is that the Newcastle Utd way now, buy someone if there is a profit to be made? Never mind winning games or trophies etc as long as we make a quick return? No thanks guys, football looks like losing it's soul in your neck of the woods.
Think that is more a case of get rid of Barton because of a fall out within the club (from what I have read). Once again he is trouble! Shame as he's a decent player.
