We'd be nuts to sell him without replacing him, I don't think Origi is quite at the level we need yet although he is a good prospect. I understand that he will want to go in the Summer but then again if we are in the CL then surley there's more game time and he may want to stay. Replacing quality like that isn't easy, I say wait until the Summer and if he wants to go then fine but Jan Transfer window is really not the time to do it.
Daniel Sturridge odds slashed to leave Liverpool for Southampton - bookies http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...rpool-Bookmakers-Transfer-News-Rumours-Gossip
If Studge goes to Soton' and van Dijk comes to Liverpool, how many millions will Soton' have to give us on top?
If Sturridge is going it should be in the summer for a fee that a player of his level demands, not in Jan Winter is teams looking for bargain basement deals, the odd-balls, the mis-fits, the potentials, the square peg in round holes and those on the comeback trail Maybe he could be classified with the above, possibly but ... Sturridge is a premium summer window signing for somebody We shouldn't loan him, we need the bodies, even if he's used sparingy and only contributes infrequently he still has class and something to offer, even if it's not quite right for us ultimately, long term I do think we should get rid though. I think actually we all got carried away about his quality during that good Rodgers season, that was his finest moment, the rest of the time he's not been much more stand-out than his periods at other clubs, he's a drifter ultimately I think and seems to have issues around functioning in a structured team like Klopp wants and his other managers wanted. In that good Rodgers season Suarez was basically running the team, it was all about him and obviously Sturridge massively benefitted from his presence, the manager barely had to do anything and there was little competition for places as you knew who was guaranteed to be playing every game
I don't want Studge to go.. we're gonna need him to maintain a top 4 push (keeping the T-word out of it...), with Ings injured and if he was to go, that would leave us VERY light up front, unless of course Klopp as someone lined up to replace him. Also, if we got 30m for Benteke, we ain't selling Sturridge for less, no bloody way!
He was more hit than miss when he had regular games towards the end of last year.. Hard for anyone to find a rhythm if they play once a month and the odd minute here and there..
Very true. I thought he was pretty shocking as a finisher when he came to pool but was very athletic. His little run last year changed that when he was scoring a lot (didn't see if he missed loads though) and he was getting better. This year he's not really had the opportunity but i'm surprised after last year he's not been starting more
in his appearances early in the season his form was shocking plus seemed very lazy. Last couple he has seemed to be getting his form back plus his energy so perhaps didn't get full pre season after Belgiums Euro campaign but that seems unlikely considering he was unused and it didn't affect other Belgium players
Sturridge is like a girlfriend. He can be annoying, selfish and come across miserable all the time and complains when he's not getting any action but as soon as it becomes a reality that he may leave for someone else it's like noooooooooooooooooooooooooo.......
