Tough set of games coming up too, Liverpool, Leicester then a dogfight 6 pointer with Swansea followed by Chelsea. You need to stop getting injuries, especially lengthy ones, plus managers love to use injuries as an excuse! I'd wish you well but I did that last week and you beat hull, so I'ma keep my mouth shut!
Next week, hate Hull, they've released tickets to public sale at £9 as they have only sold 9,0000, absolute joke, EFL cup quarter final against a team in a lower division and they cant even turn up.
Just started looking the part in a more advanced role - Never looked a defender when he's played for us so it's a blow for sure.
That's just our luck this season The lad has looked the part the last few games and was looking like a player who could be relied on . Squad player who will be missed
Knew he'd done it as well as soon as it happened. Knee inverted and you could see straight away he was concerned. Might not be ACL though as he manged to play on for 20 mins or so. Wish him the best.
http://www.safc.com/news/team-news/2016/november/mcnair-suffers-knee-injury Paddy McNair has been ruled out of action after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament. The Northern Ireland international, who joined Sunderland from Manchester United in the summer, suffered the injury during the club’s 3-0 win over Hull City on Saturday. The incident occurred in the 42nd minute as the midfielder closed down Curtis Davis on the edge of his own penalty area. McNair, 21, faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines but will now focus on returning to action as quickly as possible. Seems strange that he played on. When I did mine I could hardly walk never mind run.
Aye I thought that too - although (touch wood) never done mine but know people who have and seen the agony they've been in when it happened! Maybe he's just nails - remeber John Kay canoeing off the field on the stretcher with a broken leg - McNair is next level to that!!
It's bloody horrendous! Least mine was, went up for a header and landed with my knee pointing in a different direction to my foot and it was up like a big red balloon within seconds, on the other hand I've heard stories of not really affecting people they just notice one day it's not right and get it looked at.
Nevermind out for a season. That type of injury is often a career killer. Wish him the best but so many come back a shell of a player. It's a biggie in terms of seriousness.
