ancient history that... bit of luck that mourinho has ran out of inter and left a total basket case in thier group.

in case you missed it.. spurs in a 2 horse race finished 4th. they threw the league cup this year. they knew we were going to play a **** team and turned up with a reserve side of thier own. they threw the FA cup last year and then the minute they drew dortmund played a reserve side and were trounced.

they are bottlers....

 

So they managed to throw it better than you?
Spurs finished 3rd in a 2 horse race, City finished 4th. Still, at least they were one of the 2 horses until the end

yup they did exactly. I was VERY unhappy with the team klopp played v spurs and expressed such at the time.

 

I just find it amusing when one teams supporters call another team for failing in a competition their own team were not good enough to qualify for

Spurs are flipping hilarious you ought to get over to their board and cry with them but you prob got banned over there for daring to say the same as ive done here.

I might nip over to the Sunderland board and see if they are calling Spurs for struggling in the CL, they didn't qualify either

What makes you take my comments as a wum? is it because I pointed out Spurs were good enough to qualify and you weren't, because we weren't good enough either you know.
So far they have done no worse than your club or my club's last efforts in the CL and I find it hard to justify some of the comments on here.

 

Spurs are a real mystery. Worse than Arsenal in Europe.

What Spurs have done is the exact mirror opposite of Leicester. Leicester have been good in the CL by topping the group but poor in the league. Spurs good undefeated in the league with the best defence have been absolutely abysmal in the CL. The two best teams last season on different paths.

Leicester could well reach the semifinals of the CL with a bit if luck with the draw but could they get relegated?

 

to be fair eriksen has been horrific recently. He's such a luxury player and he's been blowing cold more than hot. Such a passenger and bottles out of challenges. Deserves to be dropped

 

Diego also has a point. A team chasing 4th get to the CL promised land and field a 2nd string team (even worse than this spurs side).... who was the first team to do that again

 

That second string did better (0-1) than the first string had done a couple of weeks earlier (0-3)

For the record, I said at the time that it was a shocking thing to do but should we win our following league game it would be justified. We didn't win the following league game!

 

The difference is ours wasn't a must win game. It wasn't actually important at all.

 

We weren't good enough, and no-one is suggesting otherwise.
Does that mean we're not allowed an opinion on other teams?
Your stock answer (unsolicited) to any discussion of other teams on here is always something along the lines of "how well did you do?"
It's really wearing thin.

 

Maybe if you trot over to the Spurs board where you occasionally post and look at the stick aimed at us, including when we've been the ones in their current predicament(finishing 2nd and our following season CL collapse).
Just as they see us as a target for criticism and piss taking(the mouser thread)the feeling is mutual.

 

I am not sure if Spurs wants to play in Europa league.If they do, they are going to be playing weakened team because they want to win the league.

I understand Spurs wanting to focus on the league and aim to finish in the top 4 so they can quali...oh.

 

Yeah, it took some bottle to make it public, hopefully the likes of Paul will give others the courage to speak up.
I've got a feeling that its a bigger problem past and present than the authorities think.
