If only, but even then it wouldn't work for my cat. He's a nervous lad and such an invention would see him voiding himself. But some kind of affordable pet drying booth would be a great invention. One that's needed in an animal loving rainy country like this.

Dogs in particular. You need to get them dry quick cause there nowt like rain for triggering wet dog smell.

Seems like it hasn't rained here for about 5 to 6 years so there are drought restrictions. Send some rain here as we are desperate :-(

Been out here for 4 years now...love the place. Weather in the winter is awesome. More to do in Dubai, but I like the life style in Abu Dhabi...suits an old fart like me. If your ever over, give me a shout, we can have a beer.

I do have an outside tap, I can't be done with cold water though, if there's one thing Tel hates it's cold.

Why don't rain rich countries sell rain water to arid countries? Could lay pipelines like with oil solve drought as well as stimulating world economy.

A few years ago I was looking after my grand-dog and got all dolled up to take him out on a night just as bad as the one described. I was half way down the path but no dog. He stood at the step, looked out and took back to his bed.

That sounds a good idea BRI, the politicians would never go for that, makes too much sense, however if you can get it off the ground we here in Cumbria have more than our fair share of rain.

I do plenty myself but never too quickly. I quite like it so long as I can listen to the radio and work at my pace - if I did it faster I'd only be given jobs I didn't enjoy to replace it! Feels strange to say but I'm with Monty on this one.

If we could find a way to collect excess for farming in the south to use the following summer, yield would increase which would help with brexit. We need to be as self sufficient as possible and making agriculture a vibrant industry again would help massively with that.

There's billions of gallon of water just sitting off the coast here. All it needs
Is a desalination program. Invest in what your priority is. If we can put a man on the moon we can take salt out of water surely. Agree with your comments though about helping the arid countries!

There were desalination plants off the coast when I was out in Saudi a long time ago.

I was told that they burn 2 gallons of oil to make 1 gallon of water.

That's expensive water. Hope they've found a cheaper way of doing it by now.

I think collecting before the rivers join the ocean is the best bet I reckon.

Let's hope a long with all tech knowledgeable things progress has been made. We don't want to solve one problem and create another...
