If I was totally sold on Barrow I wouldn't sell him , but I'm not so I'd grab the money . Fer can play right wing and totally go on attack and not have to be depended on defence as much .
15 million could be used in the window for a replacement .
20 million or so we spent on strikers and were at the same point it seems as last season where were playing without one .
Were not the kind of club that can afford disasterous deals .
We've spent no money in the net transfer since we've been up and we can barely keep our head above water .

 

Fer on the wing, Roof are you really serious, the guy who has 2 speeds dead slow and stop. We play with pace outwide. sorry Fer is in no way a replacement for a winger.

Fer is faster on attack than he is in defence and I don't want Fer anywhere near a DM role .
He has history on the right and lets face it ...he will never get a sniff at Siggy's spot .
Fer has goals in him if he's allowed to be on attack . Also , VDH has goals in him if given the minutes and believe he is a must start most games

 

He does a job, but if the £15m was reinvested into a new winger we could get much better. Why do I say this? Because I don't think Barrow will be good enough for the championship.

None of them are real quality but if someone wants to offer silly money then sell every time...The only one i would be sorry if they come in for him is Gylfi but the rest can go on the market as far as im concerned...

 

Apples and oranges valley , but Allen could never play the role of Britton either IMO , gets to busy at times getting forward and gets caught .And also , Allen cost 3 times as much and couldn't win an aerial battle if his life depended on it .

 

Allen can play Leon's and Gylfi's role.

Fer does a piss poor job at both. That's why he's 3 times cheaper

 

More goals in less minutes for Fer than Siggy and I don't think Allen strength is in either Britton or Siggy's role ..., more of a middle of the road Cork role .

Also , contrary to popular belief , Fer's passing % is a bit better than Allen and Fer's aerial prowess ( and we desperately need it ) is mega better than Allen .And the difference in price is night and day .You can demean Fer all you want because of Allen not coming but it falls on deaf ears here valley ...cheers

If any one now truly believes that when our best players are sold they'll be replaced with someone of equal or better quality is deluding themselves I'm afraid ,we're now about to see the demise of our Club, how far we fall I couldn't say but keep your memories fresh in your mind because the Club is going to get raped by the yanks for every penny they can squeeze out of it .If I'm wrong then I'll be the first to apologise but if I'm right I'll take no comfort from it just a bitterness and hatred towards all that have and continue to conspire against us including the Trust and Board members and the yanks .

 

Kind of a broad brush statement Matt about replacing players ., total agreement on the rest .....a drop could mean catastrophic repercussions to what the Americans might do .

 

Fur has the ability for sure but if his team mates are not giving 100% then nothing is going to work....Gylfy has the same problem imo that he is the class player in the side playing with players that are not playing to the same standard......I have heard Bob say a few times now that the players are playing for their shirt but everyone of us by previous comments have seen that there are a number of our players are not giving 100% consistently enough and what i call one game wonders, What is more upsetting is they Know the situation we are in and that alone should be enough to up their game and put their bodies on the line......My theory that has worked for other side is for the manager to put every player the coaching staff think are not showing in the game that they show in training put on the transfer market and show these players the club means business ...

 

Maybe so but it's what I believe will happen , since the yanks have come in can you name one positive sign directly influenced by them? .it all points to a fire sale , dismiss the Trust , destabilise the club , sell it's best assets without replacing , ensuring that all lines of communications are reduced (Board meetings are now quarterly instead of monthly) , minimal contact with the remaining majority share holder the Trust . Like I say I hope I'm wrong .

 

Agree. Any bids over £15m for Gylfi in January and he'll be sold. Guarenteed.

 

Why? We are in the mess we are in because we signed championship level players and didn't replace Ash and Ayew. We haven't replace Jonjo or Bony, and we needed replacements for Leon, Rangel, Routs and Dyer too.

We also needed an alternative/back up to Gylfi and Kingsley but instead we thought it was more important to have 5 keepers on our books.
