Some of these made me laugh, some caused me to die a little.

Anyone got any bad tattz or even awesome ones?

I don't have any. Was thinking of getting one on my back, guardian angel, but I'm probably too much of a wuss.

I can appreciate a good one though.

    They're crimes.

I have a single tattoo across my shoulders. It hurt, no so more.

I was in a Tatts syndicate. Our No's were the winning combo for that Saturday night drawn. Only the guy in hold of putting them on, forgot . Hence We All missed Out. Poor Bastard still has the Tattz numbers to this day.

Mentioned it before but a favourite of mine was when a lad swaggered on to Bunkers in a tee shirt with cut off sleeves to display his tattoo. Which was of a fiery cross and underneath it the words Ku Klux Clan.
Worked with someone who came into work with a fine tattoo of an owl and underneath it Sheffield Wedensday.

I never had you down as someone with a tramp stamp, but hey, if its personal to you, I'm cool with that.
The Clan one rings a bell, both of those just made me laugh though so, cheers!

I hate tattoos. Think they all look ****e. I may have mentioned it before. It's a personal choice though I guess - why some have them around their necks and on their head completely escapes me. They look ****ing stupid.

There are going to be some awful sights when all those visible tattoos which don't look too bad now are on aging, sagging, wrinkling skin in a few years time.

Agreed. A lot get their child's birth dates tattoed on them. Is that because they have bad memories or too many kids

As you say it's a personal choice, but how the **** anybody thinks that it enhances their appearance is totally beyond me. As for women having them, don't me going down that route, they just look ****ing terrible. :emoticon-0119-puke::emoticon-0119-puke::emoticon-0119-puke:

I just got a half sleeve done. I wasn't planning on making it to 30, so I don't really give a **** what I look like at 75. It'll look awesome.

All 3 of my daughters have tattoos. One more than the other 2 in fact.

I've pointed out what you say about being old, their attitude is all their friends have them too, so, who cares?

    It's a fair point.

I never hear people slagging off Maoris, native Indians, etc who are covered in tattoos. It seems that on them it's seen as cultural so it's ok, but on 'us' it's seen by many as pointless, ugly decoration. At what point and what has to happen for it to be widely accepted as part of 'our' culture?

A question I've pondered for ages, still got no idea.

My lad has a full length one from his shoulder to his wrist of a tiger. It is a work of art but still don't like them.

Years ago tattoos would have been a no no for a teacher. Times change. Someone I used to go to City games became a successful businessman. In the 1980s and 1990s he used to have to keep his sleeves down at meetings, especially abroad, as potential customers wouldn't have been impressed by his large tattoo of a Doc Martin with Kempton Boot Boys underneath it. Another lad had to, in pre laser removal days, get his Doc Martin one covered over with some ridiculous design before his girlfriend would marry him.

Thank you for your blessing, it is personal.

Got it done about 7 years ago, I forget it's there.

It does ****ing hurt though, why people get covered I don't know. They must have a lot of personals.
