Match Of The Day 2 for anyone who's interested (City bit about 20 mins in)... http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b083zzfj/match-of-the-day-2-201617-20112016
I don't think the Trust wants them gone. Geoff Bielby told the BBC he wants to heal the rift between owners and supporters. Maybe the Trust thinks all that needs to happen is the return of concessions and the rehabilitation of Hull City as our name.
So why didn't he say it to the BBC? Everyone not connected to the club who watched Match of the Day 2 thinks the Trust wants to heal the rift.
I still find it bizarre that so many people failed to see it. It was obvious what he was doing from a very early stage, yet people on here made out like I was really radical in my judgement of him.
Yes the mixed messages are at best confusing and at worst completely hypocritical. Given past messages it seems nothing has changed.
Stop the boring pissing contest about who saw through the dastardly Allams first and concentrate on getting mad ****ers out.....they are playing us all with a perfect divide and rule strategy here
My recollection is that he said he wanted to heal the rift between club and fans, not owners and fans.
"I've been asking the owners to help heal the rift they've got between the club and the fans" is what he said on I-player from around 24 minutes on.
That's one message. Obis pointed out another. They're at odds with each other. There are other examples but as ever you zoom in on one statement and ignore everything else. I'm looking at a bigger picture. It's not a good view. It's really not hard to see why I think the way I do.
'As we have done from the outset, we call on the owners to cease their attempts to antagonise supporters, stop the lies and the spin, and instead focus on running the club in a positive way that benefits the club and fans, including the re-introduction of concessionary ticketing, or hurry up and sell up to someone else who will. There’s obviously no shortage of interested parties.' Seems clear enough to me.
Jesus ****ing Christ. Is it hard of thinking week on here? No one is denying they've said that. We get it. They're also saying they want to work with the owners. Mixed. Messages. FFS. You can't put out a wide range of messages then just quote the one that suits you at that moment. It looks hypocritical. Why is one consistent message so difficult to get? From a group really keen to issue press releases you'd think a categorical statement on this that states they want new owners and how they'll do their best to help this along, would be really easy. One message.
Also...stupid phone didn't quote that so... That statement is perfect. Thanks for using it as evidence. It quite clearly says either stop being annoying and be nice to us. Or. Sell. So they're not pushing for the Allams to sell. If they appear contrite and mend their ways, the trust is fine with them staying. Now do you get it? I'm not the only one who thinks like this btw. Must just can't be arsed with the bile and ****e that gets thrown at anyone not bowing down to you lot.
Personally, I think it's exceptionally difficult to read the press release that this thread is based on (or any other recent Trust release) and come to the conclusion that they don't want new owners, but each to their own.
Tehe. Back to the old 'me and all my mates who don't have the Internet think'. Go on, say the M word, for old times sake.
Oh god. Back to you and your brave band of twitter followers who are representative of our fans are we? Deluded much? At least you have a little decency in not trying to dispute that the messages you put out from the Trust are mixed. Oh go on then. Just for you. Seeing as you asked nicely. You're a moron.
Yeah yeah. Everyone outside of Twitter, and Not606, and the rest of the Internet, and the ground, and pubs, all feel exactly the same as you. They told you so.
