If this is true it is difficult to comprehend. Does Short have any ambition for this club, yes he has spent money but if the rumours are right that he's up for selling the club then our market value will plummet if we go down so wise spending in January makes sense all round. Perhaps Short dosent have any sense and that's where we gave been going wrong all these years. Its certainly a head shaker if true.
We will have to wait and see i guess, Moyes has had long enough to see what we need and where so as it gets closer to Jan you should see this represented in his talking one way or another probably. Havent been on here for a while, are we still getting Mvia in Jan or has that bird flown?

There`s supposed to be an agreement to bring him in January when he becomes a free agent. Your guess is as good as mine whether or not that`s true. He is getting more game time at his club. Could be good (keeping him fit) or bad (keeping him there) Whatever the situation it can be pretty much guaranteed we`ll make an arse of things.

Not sure about that, look at the Kone situation. Mind, I can see the "sell to buy" stance being true so it may be that Short just tells Moyes what offers we receive and lets him decide if he wants the money or the player. I'm hoping Yann will already be factored in, i.e. Short has said to DM "I'll get M'Vila in January but anyone else you want on top will need to be funded by player sales."

The only thing solid I've heard about Yann is Moyes telling Benno and Nick Barnes, after the press had stated he'd signing a pre contract, is that he didn't sign a pre contract with us at all. I don't think he's coming.
Just silly. He couldn't have made it more clear he wanted to come in the summer. The results have improved thankfully but the question marks are still there over Moyes and this is a big one for me - getting M'Villa was an utter no brainer.
There's no way there should be 'no money to spend'. Any sensible chairman would provide money should there be an opportunity to buy a player for under their market value. With 6 months left on many player's contracts, January IS that opportunity for many clubs. The list of players is incredible, for 2017. Many will get new contracts for sure, but many won't many clubs will cut losses and be willing to offload them in January to see at least a small return. I believe Snodgrass is on the list as well, which will certainly please one particular poster on this board.
