My daughter lives on Teesside and the wind and rain is coming down that hard its coming through her PVC window frames. Is it that bad elsewhere, its wet and windy in Cumbria but not on the scale that the NE seems to be getting. Keep safe guys.
Been ****ing lashing it down in Stanley none stop since 14.00. Plus it's blowing a gale. Fortunately my house has remained dry so far. Other poor buggers have not been so lucky.
Same in Abu Dhabi Comm.....just arrived in the office showing 25 degrees will get up to a very nice 34 today I reckon.
You live out there do you? Swine. I love it round there. The Mrs lives 50% of the time in Dubai marina these days, and I am a frequent visitor. We stayed at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi earlier this year. Beautiful......Very envious mate
Redhouse area windy and rain as I speak it is terrible outside, luckily I put new felt on our shed roof about 4 months ago £100 !, I want to build a 25 x 10 ft one next year though. Stuck in the house decorating through the winter, but I like doing it thankfully.
That's a canny size shed roof, Monty . . . . what size is your shed . . . . what size is your garden . . . . have you got a moat ? You seem to be a very slow decorator . . . . unless you've got lots of rooms in your Redhouse mansion
We had a stream running down the road outside my house last night that has dumped loads of crap from the nearby woods.. Luckily well away from the houses though so no problems..
It's always wet here, yesterday was a bit more wet, but there's not much difference. My wife runs in the house, when we get home from Tesco, I'll have to move all 36 bags of food from the boot to the hall, by bags 8,9 and 10, she's got her feet up watching tele with a snack she's picked out of bag 1, without unpacking it, then she's shouting at me not to get the new floor too wet with my boots.
I hate the whole wet shoes coming into the house thing. When you have a big shop you've no choice to traipse deeper into the house. I hate it me.
Try bringing in a wet dog from a run around the field, having to take off my own shoes and jacket whilst holding soggy muddy dog. Almost always ends in complete disaster.
Sounds a nightmare. I nearly have a brain hemorrhage letting the cat in when it's raining. I wouldn't mind if he just went straight through to the carpeted area( first bit is small patch at the bottom of the stairs, 5 minute job to clean once a month), But he has to turn in circles excited to be in and desperate to say hello and thank you. Next thing the whole kitchen is covered in paw prints(he's a long hair so has fur growing out from in between his paw pads so they don't dry as quick) So I have to mop the Kitchen floor every time he comes in which is often as he likes to go out. The little arsehole.
