Match Day Thread Sparta Prague v Southampton Thurs 24th Nov 6pm

Flying out early on Thursday morning for this with my dad and my nephew, incredibly excited as it is my first away game this season
Any good tips for places to go in Prague before/after the game?

Basically anywhere, get near the stadium and pull a chair up. Cannot go wrong in Prague, best beer in the world and great people, normal away fan rules apply, if a bar is decked out in home colours then look elsewhere. Enjoy

So, his birthday must be the 17th of September and he got a new pen!

 

Typical that the 2 biggest sporting moments of the season so far for me are on at the same bloody time. I also have football training that I have to go to at 8 so I can't record one and then watch the other back to back Either have to have one on the TV then stream the other on laptop and semi pay attention to both or watch one live, record the other and wait until Saturday morning to watch it without finding out the result.

 

So, Mr Apple tree is getting progressively more card happy as the season progresses.

On a serious note, I hope the game isn't unduly affected by a trigger happy referee, sending a player off for two mild yellow cards, for offences that aren't worthy of cards. Unless it is a Prague player, of course.

 

You're correct, although looking at it the average is probably 3 yellows per team per match (not incredible). Looks like some tasty matches in there, and Spanish matches are known for the amount of cards/fouls.

I'll be quite happy with a festival of football, high-scoring draw (3-3 would be perfect) so that both sets of fans can be happy and we can party the night away together.
