The EU debate - Part III

One is a panicked response to try and avoid an economic disaster and the other has absolutely nothing to do with Brexit. Both are potentially good ideas though.

 

The extra money to research covers the loss of EU(Our) money from Brexit. The other to be fair was being cut anyway, but now going to be cut further to gain extra business.

 

So they're filling a gap in funding that would have been funded by the EU. Genius.

 

It's moved on. A handful have declared their love of Hitler and their white supremacist ambitions. Kustard is currently looking up who Hitler was as he's liked all of the posts praising him.

 

AND YOU'RE PAYING FOR IT!!!!

 

So its good that our money that was going to the EU and then being diverted to research is still going to research.

 

Yeah it's great news that nothing is changing.

It is as may said that funding would be cut when we leave the EU and guess what its not

EU funding is being cut and replaced by funding paid for by us. It's great news.

So basically nothing's changed other than the fact that the GBP is ****ed and inflation is set to rise significantly next year.

Clearly you didn't understand my initial comment so I'll explain it for you. I'm happy to have a democratic parliament to make decisions, that is not being ruled, that's electing representatives to enact the democratic principle. So I'm not ruled by MPs

Secondly I don't have a boss as I'm self employed. So I'm not ruled by a boss.

 

Pre brexit:
28 countries commit £10m to a collaborative research project and get results.

Post brexit:
27 countries commit £8m to a collaborative project and get slightly poorer results.
UK commits £2m and discovers it's not enough to make even basic discoveries.
UK decides only way to make good use of research money is to buy into EU research and EU agree if we pay £3m.

That is the reality.

 

So we are paying for something we were already paying for. Is there anything else to grasp?
