Nice to know you guys take it seriously. Personally you guys scare the **** out of me when it comes to guns.
On Amazon looking for a pair of basketball shorts for my daughter and it came up. Made by Glock. Got me to thinkin' though.
There's a reason for that Hefty. The right to bear arms isnt written into our constitution, we have no need of civil militia's in the event of an insurgency that will never happen, and most provocative of all.....no, I won't go there.
Is that what women's basketball shorts look like? I might have to give it a watch. Mens are so baggy you could fit a few grenade launchers in there without it showing.
A recent statistic from US says that 80% of registered firearms are held by 30% of the population. Wonder who they are.
They don't need guns to investigate. They use brains and eye for detail. They're there to compile evidence to build a case, not get into gunfights possibly killing the suspects in the process. We have a division called armed response and every force has one. They're quick on the scene and carry a variety of fire power. From Glocks to Carbines. They are very very effective and good at what they do. They had a presence in all major cities with the carbines following the London bombings so can be diploid on the streets, not just as response unit. There just isn't the need for investigators or constables to carry guns in this country.
What gets me is that it was part of a bunch of amendments that were introduced about 1800 as the country evolved. However, it is the only one that is stuck slavishly despite it being as redundant as many of the others. Hell of a difference between muskets and assault rifles.
the best shots in any regiment are the ones who own and shoot guns, if banned we are ****ed to call up civvies most couldn't hit a barn door with a blunderbuss
